Dead by Daylight

Statistiche:
To Killers who feel the need to Camp hooks, why?
I just had one match were Wraith decided to camp Hooks invisible and Insta-killed everyone. What do you get out of it? Why take away the fun for everyone else?

"It's a valid tactic bro 🤡" Survivor does literally anything: 🤬🤯
Just do gens if the killer is camping and hook trade only when the survivor hits stage 2. If 3 or more survivors are still alive then it is easy escape for everyone.

Survivors who keep watching the killer camping a surv instead of doing gens: oh no this game is so killer sided look he's camping and we can't do anything
Camping hooks is hilarious to me, because I, with a silly meme build that has no gen perks, can still get one and a half gens done in the time it takes for them to hit second. Get those gens popped, and maybe the killer will one day learn that they need to apply equal pressure (which usually nets me a 3K by the time three gens have popped).
I had a match this morning as Plague where I got someone on a hook rather quickly. When I hooked them, there was three infected gens nearby and someone was close as well. There was no reason for me to not patrol around the hook, and I had a 3-gen I could secure. I didn't press my face against them, but definitely stuck around that area.

And that worked, they got to second phase on their first hook and I was then able to leave. That survivor now had the pressure of being on death hook, and they didn't bodyblock that whole match.

Camping is just another way of continuing the pressure that can bite you in the butt if you do it wrong, or you waste too much time.

In these types of games, you typically do something until it doesn't work. Like only using one combo or grabs in a fighting game. If your opponent doesn't fight back, why stop? You only stop and do something else when your opponent learns to counter it. That Wraith will have a rude awakening when they go against survivors who know how to deal with it; it worked in that match but it definitely won't work in every other match lol

Patrolling the area is one thing...

Sitting there staring at the Survivor and repeatedly hitting the Survivor is what I'm talking about. That or being Wraith and just sitting on the hook Invisible so you can get anyone who comes close for a Unhook.
Better question is why are they responsible for your fun? Very easy to blame someone playing in a way you don't like just because you don't think it is fun. Why should the killer care if you are having fun? Do you go out of your way to make sure the killer is having fun? It is a PVP game and naturally people find a way to ruin everything, but that is the gamble you take when you play games like this.
Only way I can reliably get hits as Hag and Spirit
because all generators pop within 3 minutes & the average chase vs a good survivor lasts about 2. when the game pressures you on a time limit at the mercy of generators popping you can’t help but play that way.

can i ask a question? why don’t people play killer as much as they play survivor ? a lot of their questions would be answered. killers don’t play scummy , the game does . it forces you not to have fun being the so-called “power role” 👎👎👎👎

killer is trash, killer isn’t fun , killer isn’t fair 👎

Because it tends to work against unexperienced survivors, the hook is nothing more than a bait and most people fall for it. Experienced survs only rescue teammates from the hook when someone else is being chased, and that's easy to know now, thank god for the action icons.

Some killers just want to watch the world burn….literally though some people just like to play like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

On a serious note: Seconding what ppl said above, if the killer’s camping (even if it’s a Wraith he still has a terror radius, and even when he’s invisible you can sort of see him) do gens. Had a game against a Trapper who set up all his traps and proceeded to tunnel and camp a solo queue teammate-an attempt was made to rescue, but failed. So the rest of us (I’m guessing) decided while he was wasting time making one person’s match miserable, we were at least not gonna give him any more kills. I stealthed around the map looking for and doing gens while avoiding traps. Got a 3 man out without him so much as hitting any of us after the failed rescue attempt.

It’s even more hilarious when it’s a baby killer or a killer who just wants to be a bully vs 4 solo peeps who know about anti-facecamp. I’ve gotten 4 man outs from matches where killers hit everyone on hook until they triggered the anti-facecamp.

Running Kindred (shows everyone each other’s aura if you’re on hook + shows you the killer’s aura if they’re within a certain distance of the hook) or Bond (shows all teammates’ auras if they’re within a certain radius, so if someone’s on hook and you don’t see any of your other teammates running in for a save/running from the killer-killer’s probably camping hook) can help a lot to know if a killer’s camping in solo queue.

its a good strategy to win maybe? if the other survs did gens instead of hanging around they'd do much better.
Flashlight and Sabo squads aren't there for a killers fun. Playing them as killer who am I to tell them how to have fun. On the flip side who are you to tell that wraith to do something else because they may find it fun. It's in the game and meant to be used. Let's not try to define others version of fun. That is a very bad idea.

You're free to have objectively wrong opinions and I'm proud you think you have the Moral Stance.
When you against a pre made team of try hard sweatlords sometimes it's all you can do.
