Stuck on initialising shaders page??

every time I load the game now it freezes on the "initializing shaders" loading screen for ages and then just crashes - not sure what to do about it? nothing I've done has worked lol

You can try finding dead by daylight in your steam library, right click and go to properties, type "-dx11" without the quotes in the launch options area. Then start the game as normal.
