Xess Mode
Hey, I've tried basically everything because despite having no performance issues, my pc used to always make noise and heat up when playing dbd. The final thing I decided to check out was Xess mode on ultra quality and if you apply 100% sharpening with Nvidia filters, it looks better than ever and most of the time my pc doesn't even make noise anymore. Weird enough, it can still make noise on the main screen or lobby but in game it is better. I couldn't find discussions about this setting so I'm just sharing my experience with it.

I made a thread praising how amazing the game looks with Xess on ultra quality a while back, and it was totally ignored. But yeah, it looks fantastic. So much better.

People don't seem to care much about it but I'm surprised how better the game is with it. Normal settings and FSR are similar while this looks and performs better. Should've tried earlier!

I find it looks even better than FSR, which I use to use, maxed out. With Xess, it's almost like a different game in how it looks :)

Honestly, just had a match and I couldn't believe how nice and clear everything looked and it's so much easier on my pc, granted the added sharpening helps with the blur that comes.

When DbD shifted to UE5, a graphical upgrade was something I was hoping for, but we didn't get. But Xess mode goes a long way towards delivering that.

I think a graphical upgrade would potentially come with better optimization and maybe a higher version of FSR and perhaps DLSS so that would be cool. Similar performance for a nicer looking game is better for everyone. They could upgrade some other parts of the game too if they wished to do so.
