I agree it ruins the game when 100% of the other 'team' is just one person.

How do you know they are AFK?
A: They might be wondering on what to do, because survivors say they can not tunnel, camp or look in their general direction. This takes time and might seem like AFK, but they are very busy overthinking their actions.
B: They might be having a moral dilemma, where the grip of the entity is pulling on them from one side, but their once human nature is telling them noooo be nice to the survivors.
And now the killer can not make up their mind and they stand there confused.
This takes time to resolve.
C: They might be taking a temporary tactical retreat wondering how they should deal with the survivor abuse or the unrelenting genrushing. Not all killers are capable and the information flow is to fast for them to keep up. Slow down.. stand in a corner and decide on a new plan.
D: They might be standing there, because they do not like the early and mid game gameplay, while waiting for the endgame action to start.
E: They might be standing there because they got triggered and need to retreat to their safespace. " singing: my safeee spaceeee"
F: They might be standing there roleplaying as a non threatening killer, just to become dangerous at an unexpected moment. For instance when survivors come and goof off around them.
G: They might be wondering why they play any killer other then the nurse or the spirit.
What the point? They are depressed as the truth sank in that they are not viable...
H: They might be standing there appearing to be afk while their hands are still on the keyboard. Technicly they are still at the keyboard, thus AFK does not apply here. (away from keyboard)
I: They might be having technical issues like accidently clicking the windows button and dead by day light is now hidden. They are panicking and trying to get back into the game,
but somehow they keep changing between 25 open browser tabs, music playing and fan art of the female survivors. Not everyone is tech savy.
J: They might be actually AFK... but how can you tell? You can not know.
Bonus point: Wraights love to play hide and seek. That is not AFK,
