Survivors calling you names for silly things in game
Have you ever had survivor matches where one person or all of them would call you names for things that made them mad? for example, leaving after opening exit gates, not taking hits for others, and not rescuing them from hooks? In the recent PTB, i had one person do this, Dark Lord was surrounding a jeff that was slugging; gates were opened, and the others were afraid to take a hit, and decided they couldn't rescue him, so me, a Tapp, and the other belmont clone left; post game, one of players playing as trevor called me a coward for not attempting to rescue him!

Kind of a useless post. Yes, we have had someone do that.

I've had survivors call me useless and not helping the team just because I didn't save a hooked survivor when the gates opened. Even though I did 3 gens and looped the killer long enough for the team to do the 4th gen. It's hilarious how braindead they can be sometimes.

Well, as a teammate you are expected to team work
ໂ‧͡‧̫ໃ 9/ago./2024 às 22:46
I'm sorry you went through that. That must feel really awful. People will get upset at just about anything. It doesn't matter how good you get at this game, or how new you are. It is very poor sportsmanship how some players blame others or criticise without looking at their own gameplay, but it really isn't a reflection of you at all. Try and ignore it if you can. If there's actual post game chat abuse (like they're using hateful terms/words) you can report them through the in-game report button and devs will ban them.

It's really funny that those exact type of players will take other players carrying them for granted and feel entitled to it, and then if you don't choose to do something they'll get upset. So don't worry about it at all, those ppl do that to EVERYONE, not just you.

I've seen ppl get upset that someone looped the whole game and didn't get on gens when that person was being hard tunnelled and also hard carrying xD. I've had people rage at me for the craziest things and I have well over 3k hours over YEARS. I play very aggro and I usually like getting the risky end game saves and tanking hits etc. I'm really support orientated and take a ton of risks (my fiance calls me the DBD "simpport" loool), so I'm usually doing the most effective/efficient thing I can at any given moment + taking risks for my team, and now and again I will still get people who either get upset or take it for granted.

It's definitely not you, and you don't owe them anything. One thing about this game is that you need to learn and gain experience for yourself and you need to trust your own judgement for different choices you make in the game as you learn the game more and more. What anyone else does for you as a teammate is a nice perk/nice surprise, not something to be expected. Same goes for all MPs. Playing as a good team doesn't mean throwing yourself at every beck and call of entitled teammates. If anything, entitlement in itself is bad form if we're talking teamwork.

I've learned how to not take ♥♥♥♥ from anyone IRL, so I ignore the bad things people would say to me post end game chat. I've had people from other games add me (cause I'm very privated) just to talk some more ♥♥♥♥, I just end up blocking and removing their friend request if they decide to go there. And thanks for the motivation, I'll do whatever it takes to get better and help my teammates in my future matches.

Lol yes I am. It just weird seeing survivors acting entitled over an action one person has done in game.

Put it this way, dbd is one of them games that don't take a lot of mental capacity, it's a straight forward game with no brain power needed on either side. Some streamers try to make it out like it is by stripping perks down and acting like they made some massive discovery with a perk combo/ way to play a killer.

I'm not justifying or saying name calling is acceptable, because in the long run it isn't and nobody should be doing it. But seeing someone literally struggle to mentally grasp dbd by playing incompetently is frustrating because DBD is simple. There is being bad at a game an there is incompetence, and playing with incompetent players is annoying because they make 0 effort to develop their skill and drag everyone's experience down. This then leads on to people being toxic. I just came out of a 2v8 and 7 people left me in the cage from first stage to death......7 people..... that isn't bad play, that is just being incompetent at survivor. I don't act toxic to these people, I just close it down and do something else... This then pushes away people playing as they want to have fun and not be in a minefield of players throwing games all the time.

for me, i try to do whatever i can, whether its rescuing a survivor, doing gens, or keep the killer distracted, and even at post game chat, some people will get on their high horse and will spew out some salt.

Some people are just like that unfortunately. They have huge egos and will blame anyone buts themselves.
