Wait 2V8 is temporary?

its awful they scammed a lot of people into buying the game becuase they thought they could play 2v8 my friend just had to refund the game because they won't be able to play with me after the event ends

That's their fault for not reading anything before buying it then, even watching the trailer you'd know it's only a 4v1 game, it even says it in the game description... and you could also blame yourself for not reading up on the game mode first

Indeed, there was ZERO indication that this was an event as it was advertised as a permanent new game mode.

the new game mode was advertised as just that a new game mode, there was no indication that it is was temporary

Yes it's temporary, they said that all along. It might become perm later down the road probably another year or two out.
