Lots of lag, crashes, bugs and sudden FPS drops.

don't know what happened, I always played DBD with the graphics at maximum and it always ran smoothly. Recently, I've been having a lot of problems with fps drops and constant lag. I lowered the graphics settings and the lag persists. I've already uninstalled it, used the -dx11 command in the boot menu, done everything I found on the internet and I still can't play softly anymore. Lags and crashes radically disrupt the game experience, and it wasn't like that before. The maps seem heavier, the loading screens take longer to load, I thought it was a problem on my PC, but other even heavier games run perfectly. It seems that after the latest DBD updates, it has regressed in optimization.

Hello. Yes, I tried. Maybe the last updates it's not working well in my computer... i dont know.

Fast vaults and killer's hits make my fps drop a little. Some animations on the screen also make me lose some frames, my computer is decent, there shouldn't be these problems, but what I notice is that a lot of people are reporting the same thing since updating to UE5

same here. i think the problem is exactly this updating to UE5. Hope they fix this issue asap, so I can play the game again.

Had zero issues with DBD ever since I played it and now when I try playing it keeps dropping to 45fps constantly especially during chases.

Yeah same, glad I'm not the only one. I have always had my FPS capped at 120 fps and the game ran smoothly, but for a few days now, my frames are randomly dropping during matches and the game stutters a LOT.
No matter which map, no matter which graphic settings I'm on.
Wouldn't say my setup (RTX 3060 Ti, Ryzen 5 5600, 16 GB RAM) is bad as well.

I'm going to reinstall my nvidia drivers later, will see if that helps.

i've also tried to reinstall nvdia drivers. it didnt worked for me. I hope behaviour fix this problem soon in a new patch.

I uninstalled GeForce Experience and everything works perfectly now. Perhaps you could give it a try?

Thanks, but I never had it installed before. I use NVCleanInstall to just install the drivers.

I know I asked if you did a reinstall should have said that its good to do fresh reinstall. Like reinstall and go manually check and delete any left over files that might still be in the game folder. Sometimes when you delete a game it does not delete all the files from the folder for some reasons and those files can cause problems being still there when you reinstall.

Another thing you can try also is to remove the games save data of the game that is in "C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight". The game will recreate these back when you launch it. You might lose your keybindings if you changed them but otherwise should not do anything bad, but people have said that it helped them to get game to launch when it did not.

You might also want to try to reinstall/repair the Easy Anti Cheat. You can fine its setup.exe in the EasyAntiCheat folder in your main Dead by Daylight install folder.

Just thought to lists these as they have helped in other things so no hurt to try them out.

Did anyone ever find a fix to this? I'm having the same issues as the post below - originally started whenever I alt-tabbed but now just happens constantly. Never changed any settings, started happening shortly after Tuesday's hotfix. The game is still playable but the stuttering makes doing certain actions difficult.
