Has anyone else noticed how many people are giving up recently
I feel like every single match so far I’ve had some one has always given up on hook, I don’t mind people DC ing because at least they get replaced with a bot but when you ♥♥♥ on hook at 5 gens I feel like the game is already over at that point 😔

Odds are if they died at 5 gens on hook...they also felt like it was over already. If i have been running the killer for long enough that 1-2 gens should have popped and no one is even touching gens...im out lol...

I had a match where I ran the killer for 3 minutes, and not a single gen popped. no one was doing anything. so when i finally went down, i opted to exit the match.

This event is the worst one I can recall. Killers are super sweaty and bring in mori's, ffs. Camping, tunneling off hook, slugging. i'm really seeing a lot of the worst killer trash this year. I refuse to stay in some games for crap behavior, even though my own behavior is crap. Whatever. Events bring out the worst in the DbD community.

I dont blame you in that kind of situation but i had 6 games in a row tonight where the first person hooked killed themselves for some reason whether it be dont like killer, dont like add ons, dont like map, or even simply was the first one found.

If you were playing anni event they probably finished their challenge and did not enjoy playing against the killer. I've done that after I finished my challenge a couple times, but really only with sweaty blights/nurses who clearly aren't even going for invitations

Frustration with Gameplay Mechanics: DBD is known for its intense gameplay where survivors are pursued by a killer. If survivors feel overwhelmed or trapped due to the killer's skill or strategy, they might choose to sacrifice themselves or by letting themselves be caught early to start a new match rather than prolonging a stressful encounter.

Time Efficiency: Matches in DBD can be time-consuming. If a survivor feels that their chances of escape are slim due to circumstances like teammates not coordinating or a particularly skilled killer, they might opt to end the match quickly to join a potentially more favorable one.

Perceived Hopelessness: In some situations, survivors might perceive their chances of winning as very low early in the match (for example, if teammates are quickly incapacitated or if the killer is adept). This perception of hopelessness can lead to players giving up prematurely.

Lack of Enjoyment: If players are not enjoying the current match due to gameplay frustrations, feeling unfairly targeted, or not finding the experience engaging, they may decide to exit the game to seek more enjoyable gameplay elsewhere.

Technical Issues: Occasionally, technical problems such as lag or game bugs can interfere with gameplay, making it difficult or unenjoyable for players. In such cases, players might choose to quit or sacrifice themselves rather than continue under unfavorable conditions or they are kicked out of the match - which has been happening a lot in DBD.

Learning Curve and Skill Gap: DBD requires coordination and strategy, both as a survivor and as a killer. New players may struggle initially and face a steep learning curve. If they perceive themselves as unable to contribute meaningfully to the match, they might opt to quit or sacrifice themselves until they improve their skills.

Ultimately, players often resort to sulking, acting selfishly, or expressing discontent over being caught first or facing a specific killer.

If a killer is camping and tunneling (focusing on a single survivor excessively), some players might choose to sacrifice themselves early in the match, to avoid a potential penalty, such as being banned for disconnecting. And I don't blame them for choosing to sacrifice themselves for that reason. It's understandable given the circumstances.
yeah that some facts but i will add some more.
power trip problem: this happens when you are too based at the game as killer and they know they cant bully you. which technically fall in the "lack of enjoyment"

there the rare unfortunate timing: . stuff like "pizza is here" or "must take a dump" happen sometime. a very valid reason too dc

For a lot of players, it's probably already the sixth in a row and maybe the sixth in a row that they died in the game within 5 minutes. The frustration and bad luck of not being able to run with a killer for even 10 seconds is very, very disturbing, and I've personally had not a single gen done and half the team was either in the second stage or dead. It's not worth playing at this moment, and I'd rather make a voluntary sacrifice. But sometimes there are just games where I really can't stand playing with a killer for even ten seconds, and sometimes it happens several games in a row. I'm so mad I'd rather die...
I just dont want to play against boring, poorly designed killers (sm, sing, twins, 2 trap killers). ♥♥♥♥♥ boring.

they don't have wall hacks they hear the sound to know a killer is near, they play pretty fair, and you can get somehow close to them without the terror radius as well.

the bots in dbd are pretty good compared to other games this game have good bots.

I am sick to death of playing against Huntress. Every other match its Huntress. Its a constant ping pong of Boring / Bad design killer then Huntress, then bad killer then huntress. I just can't be arsed to do it, i've been getting better and better at looping, and so i notice it so much more when i have bad teammates incapable of doing gens. I had managed to draw the attention from a Bubba who was tunneling and camping. He went for me, i looped him for i ♥♥♥♥ you not, 4 minutes, i had done 3 loops of the map, the killer was just that bad, And ZERO gens were done at that point, yeah, i gave up. I regularly now, have matches where i loop the killer so long at least A GEN should have been done, and it never is. If i sit and do gens, Gens get done but all 3 of my teammates end up dead before we hit exit gates. If i loop the killer, no gens get done and i'm on 2nd hook while injured
