You will get a few downs, some hooks maybe (bgp flashbang/pallet saves are pretty common), but no free hits from skulls for sure and mage hand hits will be limited too if they predrop and keep distance. Also despite having "fly", shiftW is really strong against Vecna same as for all m1 killers, which affects chase time.
If you make great reads and every cast ends in a hit you'll have a chance for 3-4k, but overall gen efficient + good in chase team should have no problems against him.
But he is fun for sure, so if you like gameplay go for it.
Flight of the Damned: Survivors have long animations when they're dropping a pallet, vaulting a window, or unhooking a survivor, giving you an easy hit. If they're not in an animation they need to crouch to avoid the hit, meaning you close distance. If a survivor is at an elevation, like say Dead Dog Saloon, you can aim your ghosts to go through the floor, making the survivor unable to counter the hit.
Mage Hand: Another way you can exploit animations. A lot of Vecnas use Mage Hand to stop a survivor from dropping the pallet when the play is to let them drop it, and then immediately pick it back up. That survivor will have just finished the drop pallet animation, and you'll be able to hit them. If the survivor does not leave the loop and you time it correctly, you get a down.
Fly: You're fast as ♥♥♥♥ and able to fly through windows and dropped pallets. If you have Friends til the End then you are constantly applying map pressure.
Dispelling Sphere is pretty situational, but not bad.
With all due respect to the above posters, I don't know how they could rate him lower than A tier. Sure he's not Nurse or Blight, but those two killers feel horrible to play for 99% of the playerbase. However, we have to be somewhat serious. Like, Ghostface's power doesn't work correctly like half the time lmao. Come on now guys.
it's why nurse, blight, spirit, wesker are so top tier because their abilities can overcome a lot of the counterplay when played correctly.
The problem with Vecna is, that he has the potential to be powerfull, but has easy counters:
-The skeletons can hurt survivors, but have a long charging time and can be dodged by only crouching.
-his bubble detects survivors, but is slow and has no real benefits in chases.
-his flight can catch survivors of guard by flying over windows and pallets, but you cant m1 while using it and it has pretty long end-lag.
-the only usefull spell in chases is mage hand. it lifts palltes up again and/or prevent pallets from beeing dropped.
Nurse, Blight, Spirit and Billy are good against good survivors, depending on the map.
No new killer is allowed to reach their level due to the survivor lobby.
