But if you have even 1 person that is going around disabling traps chances are 1/3 to half your traps are going to be disarmed.
There are some very specific - survivor guided circumstances where Trapper becomes a demon but that will pretty much never happen with generally good survivors.
Still a strong, well designed killer - just not compared to what many others can do.
One of the weakest killers. Condemned by Behaviour to stay a beginner killer, therefore no significant buffs. You have to play some levels above the survivors for a slight chance to win. But when you win, it feels like an achievement.
so he's really just as strong as you want him to be and because of this i consider him to be at least an average killer.
Lery's with a hex build is a nightmare and survivors will hate you... just trap in front of the totems.
Trap more unexpected places instead of just in front of windows and pallets as well and you'll really catch people off guard. One of my favorites is trapping a corner of the killer shack.
you get a shack basement hook and you preemptively trapped all exits with 2 traps
you proxy camp until theyre forced to go get the survivor in which it turns a 1k into a 2k
you can also force the survivor to unhook by facecamping, hit them off hook and watch them run upstairs to realize theres no way out
My personal strategy is put traps in random location, where palyers didn't expect a trap or couldn't see them, especially when you chase them. Grab one survivor, take him/her to the basement and set a trap every corner! The stairs, the doors, the vaults. Sometimes works, sometimes all survivor just avoid them all. XD
In a perfect competitive matchup he’s probably very low but in the 85% of games where you aren’t against people who are perfect 2000 hour players on comms he’s a good laugh to play and I’ve had fun mixing up my builds with him
I think I was just overthinking it as I’m never going to play in a tournament level and he is enjoyable to play, I think just the lengthy setup and annoyance at none of your traps going off can be disheartening but when they start popping off the game can snowball when they panic to save and bumble into other traps
