People are just leaving the game. Why?
Almost every match I play people just leave the game. The killers are fine but the survivors quit after the first hook.

I have played 8 games tonight and in 5 of them, a someone has ♥♥♥-ed on hook in a very winnable game. And there's nothing that can be done in a 3v1 at five gens

Even then, you can dc and then you'll at least be leaving your team with a bot to take your place. This can be a tangent into the "should there be a DC penalty" argument

I mean there isn't a reason to stay in game if your not having maximum fun.. and agree remove the penalty!!

Blood point incentive is crap even winning you get like 20-30k which is barely enough for a single blood web in the higher levels..

DCing has a penalty so no point in helping your team at your own expense.

Some killers are just really not fun to play against whether you're winning or losing im just not having fun vs a trickster or Skill merchant tomb stone Myers ect..

Bring all that to getting first hooked early game means your basically the logical target for the tunnel for the rest of the match so might as well move to the next game.

You see the game has a bunch of things that really don't incentize people stay or be a team let not even bring that into the convo

It should stay, why should quitters get away without being punished? You'll get rampant quitting. What they should do is find a way to punish killing yourself on hook early on.

Killers hardtunneling after hooking the 1st person generally makes this happen from what I see most often.

And it's usually when the survivors that are being tunneled don't have anti-tunneling perks and went for a more fun build. Probably realized they're just screwed so might as well leave.

Just run anti-tunneling perks. The same way Killers have to basically run anti-gen perks to make gens last longer. Survivors should run anti-tunneling perks to help them live longer. The Kill/Escape win condition has made the game unbearably sweaty.

Bleh.

Atm maybe also because of rubber banding. Yesterday I vaulted a window and was ported back. I ran with other survs and they passed because I ran on the spot. It is unplayble for some people and not fun.

then people would just get unhooked and run to killer to die on 2nd hook or just afk till game over. theres no way to win the argument.

Then you report (and record) them for Unsportsmanlike Conduct if they intentionally try to get themselves killed or refuse to play after getting unhooked. If people don't want to play then let the game help them out by banning them from playing and ruining future matches for other people.

Which are reportable offences, and if they dont want to play the game, well then we can help them with that as they can't play if they get banned :)

This is a bad take. The game isn't competitive why would it have harsher punishment they games that are? Your just upset and lashing out on a situation you feel powerless to control. Your upset is misdirected though. You should be aiming it at the game devs for creating systems and encouraging the game to be played in ways that make both sides hate each other.. like what purpose does allowing tunneling to be rewarded slugging for 5 mins, or gen speed to be as fast as it is being able to be blinded in a uncontrollable animation and much much more!

The game is filled the mechanic designed to target some one and not win or lose but ruin there whole experience why should any have that power in a game? No game I've ever played gave the other team such agency to remove mine! Let's remember this isn't a conversation about winning or losing it's about unfun poorly designed decisions the devs filled the game with. And there used to be SO SO much more like instant blinds 99% hook breaks the game feels like it's still early access with how much still needs to be done to fix it.

So yes people should be able to get the heck out to avoid bad games

In my low 200h i saw people leaving, one or maybe two times only.
Yesterday i left (for the first time in my "carreer") after my first hook as a survivor because i saw my team mates just running around the killer to play with him from the very first minutes of the game.

With a penalty in a game that has bots and isn't competitive I can leave most online casual match games any time I'd like. This isn't a new or ground breaking concept

Irrelevant to both your point and mine. Quitter penalties arent a new or ground breaking concept either. A bots existence isnt an excuse to let you leave penalty free, its to not completely ruin the game for everyone else when you do leave.
