DBD Support team wont help me, maybe you guys will..

I have been waiting for over 5 hours for DBD support to reach back to me, its like they simply refuse to acknowledge my SEVERE issues..

I've been playing DBD for 8 years now and never have i ever had a experience like this. I have been trying to log into the game for about 5 hours today and its not working at all. The game will launch and when i click a button to get to the main screen, it says "In order to use this content, a internet connection is required"

considering I'm writing this, you know my internet is working... so what the hell is going on?

I've tried:
1) Validating game files (3 or so times)
2) Down-patching (from base game to PTB and vice versa, neither work)
3) Uninstalling and reinstalling (Twice now)
4) Playing with a VPN (In case the servers in my region are down)
5) Exiting steam and relaunching (more times than i can count)
6) Logging COMPLETELY out of steam, re-logging back in and re-launching
7) Disabled Proxy servers and Firewalls (in case they blocked functions of the game)
8) Completely disabling my antivirus (I've heard they can cause issues at times)

I have tried so many things that I literally cant think of anything else to try. I highly doubt that I've been banned since i never got any sort of notification, but if I am banned, seriously, WTF bhvr? on PTB release day? You're gonna ruin the release of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ VECNA in dbd by banning a senior player?

Please help me.

Most likely some sort of issue on your end or a bug. If you had been banned you would've gotten an account notification on steam telling you as well as a permanent game ban on your profile. Contacting support appears to be the only way to get help unfortunately. 5 hours is not a lot of time and unfortunately technical issues are complicated especially right after switching engine versions.

Ya, I'm getting this as well. Though, only about 20 minutes now. Going to do a File check. I restarted steam, the game, and now the computer, same issue. Getting unable to sync game data on launch. I was, prior to this issue, just sitting in menu for about 15 minutes when the game started giving the server thing you posted. Haven't been able to get back in since. I have a 1k gb /second connection and it is quite solid even now. Buggy ass game on buggy ass server made by dlc pumping incompetent devs are the root cause. Lets see if we can fix it.

Edit: Verify integrity of files fixed it for me. Odd, similar issue but not the same I guess. Try navigating to the install folder, go up a level. uninstall game, then remove anything that remains. Search the internet to hunt down where any other files might be located locally, then remove them too. Restart and reinstall.

It will take more than 5 hours. BHVR is spammed with hundreds of tickets a day and will need time to respond.

Steam no longer displays a ban from the dbd and also does not give a notification about it when logging in, but it says that there is no Internet, apparently the devs do not want to show this (abuse of bans?)

Isn't it great how someone who has poured their heart and soul into this game for well over 8k hours across multiple platforms for 8 entire years can just be banned for no reason? thats great! And i already know DBD devs rarely appeal bans sooooo!!!! YAYYYY!!!! OVER 200$ SPENT ON DLCS DOWN THE DRAIN WOOOOOO!!!!

Try to run it on another PC and check it. There was one person on Twitter who was accidentally banned, look for Griff, he was unbanned after he made it public and it reached the bhvr himself

@TheVessel their support often takes a day or two to get back. Could be longer when they're busy.

I'd hope that if you're banned the game would let you know and provide a reason. Some players have had suspensions I think so maybe they can tell you.

They won’t tell him the reason as usual, they’ll just say it’s because of the 3rd party software and that’s it

2. Check EAC logs to see if it's having issues connecting or not.

5. Hard resetting your modem & router by shutting down devices connected to them. Then unplug power from each. Wait a solid 60 seconds. Plug in modem wait at least a minute or two until it's online & sync'd then plug in router and wait another minute or two and then fire back up your PC?

I'd do all of those things to start.

I don't think it will help because he tested through vpn, vpn is more than enough to tell that if he is banned or not, at the beginning of the DBD logo, first there is a connection to the servers of the dbd itself (not amazon, those servers works during matches) and there game checks if he has access to the game through his cloud ID, or more precisely, a check for a ban and if he is really banned then at the moment of "preparing to login" the game shows that there is no Internet instead of account suspended as it was before

So uh.... Are you able to play again? Tuesday is Steam Maintenance and BHVR themselves did maintenance because the PTB came out, so on every Tuesday, Steam will shut down for quite a while.
