Why are BP capped at 2m?
I see videos online with people with far more blood points. Is it really capped?

Yes it is, but there is a catch.

The 2m cap is for points earned during normal gameplay, so matches, archive challenges, and daily rituals.

Any points gained through promo codes, login rewards or grade reset do not count towards this cap, and so allow you to have more than 2m at a time.

Two reasons, to prevent people from maxing out characters right after release (even though there are ways around this, most people won't have immediate P3 with a new chapter and all perks unlocked) and second is cheaters.

Thank you both. I appreciate it!

It shouldn't be capped at all. Basically the devs that work on this game don't have the foresight to realize having a cap means once someone like myself hits that cap, they just stop playing if they don't care about leveling characters passed a certain point. I get a Survivor/Killer to P6 and never touch their bloodweb again. If people cared about their time more, they'd never raise character bloodwebs passed P9 as you gain absolutely nothing for it.

The process goes like this. Cap your BP at 2 million, wait for the devs to give out enough free BP to go over the cap and by the time that 3 months goes by and the new chapter comes out, you'll have more than enough to P3 at least 2 different characters all thanks to the devs not actually capping it. So they say they don't want us to max out a character on release, yet they are the reason I've been able to do just that for the past 10 or so releases...

They want me to stop having characters P3'd on release then stop giving out so many damn BP for free... xD

I do the exact same thing. Reaching the bp cap --> inserting bp codes / weekly reward --> waiting for the next chapter and playing other games --> going back and repeat.

If "People like you" spend your points, you won't hit the cap. They even made spending BP brainless to the point of just clicking one button per page. It's not the dev's choices driving you to abandon the game when you're maxed, it's your choices.

i have heard this cheater argument so much its annoying.... cheaters have unlock all and dont care about bloodpoints also if they wanted to they still can just disable the limit for themselfes...

the cap only hurts normal players

You can look up cheats, cheaters don't have a limit, they can also set levels, set how many items they have up to 9000 and addons. So if they have said that is why, they're lying

You're right. It's my choice to spend my time better than most. Still can't believe there are those that spend their BP on silly stuff like getting to P100 with nothing to show for it. Why not go play some other game while still getting stuff for free. I'm gaining either way so...what's your point?
