Once I tried to heal the broken status effect caused by an invocation on a friend of mine and it took me a good second to understand I couldn't heal her because I'm not used to having players with broken status effect when I unhook them.
I know with perks like deliverance it’s a matter of waiting the 60seconds before healing.
Now I know with certain perks they are broken all game, or with an invocation spell.
I remember one game, in the backwater swamp map, a Nea found me after I had safely gotten away using deliverance. She circled me and didn’t understand how she could heal me earlier in game , but not at that moment. She waited until the broken status was done before healing me. Usually in that time I want to work on a gen or heal someone else since I gotta wait a minute. A louder gen will muffle the hurt sounds my survivor makes.
Some people forget and just wanna help. They’ll understand if it’s still there after a minute there’s no point in sticking around.
I play a lot of SoloQ so that’s where some of the misunderstandings come because I can’t tell or emote to my team I’m temporarily broken. :’)
