Game not launching?

After the new update the game doesn't launch at all... it shows the trapper logo and then it freezes, I have even tried running the prompt -dx11 but it didn't do anything. Anyone knows how to fix this problem?

i found this error in windows event log and that what it shows: in system log warning:

of course, error have nothing real with my Hdd, it works fine. But maybe this info help someone to find solution..

To everyone i had the same issue found the solution

GAME NOT LAUNCHING FIX
1. Go to Libary -> DBD -> Lunching Options
2. Put in the Launching Options following command -DX11
3. Close Steam and make sure to end process (Taskmanager)
4. Run Steam as Adminstrator
5. go to libary again and on DBD and click play.

IT WORKS NOW.

I had an issue where it would start up and would freeze right before the cinematic. Found out personally that if I'm in another tab when I boot it, it starts right up. Hope that helps someone. I usually just open YouTube or something until I hear the sounds before the cinematic.

2. Put in the Launching Options following command -DX11
3. Close Steam and make sure to end process (Taskmanager)
4. Run Steam as Adminstrator
5. go to libary again and on DBD and click play.

IT WORKS NOW.

Tried that fix, it didn't work for me. I just wanna play some damn ghostface

Try repairing or reinstalling Easy Anti-Cheat. That first splash screen that pops up is actually EAC launching.

Right click Dead by Daylight > Properties > Browse Local Files > Easy Anti Cheat > Easy Anti Cheat Setup

If it says "repair," try uninstalling and reinstalling. If it says "install," then it means you didn't have EAC installed and that might be why the game is not launching (my EAC apparently got uninstalled after UE5 update).

I personally tried doing that and I had it installed and even when I repaired it, it still crashed on startup.

Try verifying game files. Had a short pause but worked for me
