exit gates should not spawn so close
it seems a bit unfair that the exit gates should spawn so close to each other sometimes, a lot of killers can easily guard both gates with ease leaving you not nearly enough time to power them. they should spawn on opposite ends or at least far enough away to have a chance to open one. leaves you in some games with no option but to just die.

yeah one time in hospital I had like 10 second distance between gates

Yeah exit gates spawns are pretty bad right now.

Yeah don't expect this to change. It's been this way since the beginning of time and will never change. Killers will swear up and down, "THE GATES ALWAYS SPAWN TOO FAR APART AND IT'S UNFAIR!" and then go on to talk about how one match the gates ACTUALLY spawned far enough apart for the last survivor to have a chance to open a gate. 9/10 if you don't find the hatch and run every % based perk that helps open them faster your chances are slim to none. It's ok though because every entitled killer deserves a free 4k at this point :)

The only ones entitled in these situations are survivors. You didnt do gens, you didnt find the hatch. What even makes you think you deserve to escape?

lol, i can understand if this happens in SWF but solo? 3 of your teammates can die really fast and they expect you to rush all gens by yourself and find the hatch

There is nothing you can do if one of your teammates decides to unhook you next to the killer and farm you etc etc and etc

Even worse now killers prevents the last surv from reaching the hatch by leaving the other surv down while searching for the hatch or you

If there are at least 2 survivors left, it's pretty easy to open one.

If you're alone around the endgame, that's tough luck. But at that point you're SUPPOSED to have only a slight chance. That's how the game works.

And let's not forget: often gates are also ridicuously far from each other. Can really mess up any normal speed killer. Basically there are maps with fixed gate locations VERY far from each other (The Game, Léry's, I think the new map too, maybe some others), and there are other maps with random gate spawns. In those maps you still have a 50% chance to get lucky. So it's not so bad for survivors. And of course sometimes you get unlucky, but that's the same with almost every mechanic in the game: luck always plays a part. Shouldn't be too upset about it.

Its strange. I do not really care either way with where the gates are. At that point I am either just messing with them or I am trying to kill them before they escape.. I tend not to care too much where the gates are. Just try to keep a eye on them that is all.

Oh come on. Survivors should be killed already before the exit gates are even powered, if the survivors did manage to finish the gens, probably 80% of the time they get out. Some killers who have a bit of a hard time to kill them before that, run NOED, but I think it's silly. The game is pretty much won by survivors if they manage to power it.

So that distance is still more then enough to hide somewhere until the killer patrols around in desperation to still score a single kill if he can. He should should kill the survivors long before this.

So powered gates= GG. Pretty much. Especially if most of them are still standing

There's always someone with your opinion in these threads, and whilst entitled to your own opinion, it's still just a "you are the team burden and you should die because I've seen every game you've ever played" I posted this after a billy game on coldwind, I did gens all game, solo or with team, saved multiple times, and checked for hatch numerous times when I knew it were to spawn. As I got to one exit gate, Billy sprinted all the way to where I was, so I hid. He already knew where the hatch was before I had the chance to see it on once of the hill tiles. I was left with opening a gate, which I couldn't because he could see both of them and reach both of them with next to no effort. He had a near perfect sprint line between the two gates leaving me no chance to open one without being spotted i even rann all the way to a chest i spotted earlier on to search for a key to no success. In the end I just walked up to Billy and crouch spammed in the hopes he might let me go. He didn't. Not that he had to, but still, what else was I supposed to do? Gates need a distance limit or at least the tiled should be rearranged to give a slight bit of visual cover or something.

When they are too far then it’s not fair

Dude im not trying to be that guy or anything but its not really that hard on maps like coldwind farm for example. There have been a lot of times where I was the last survivor and I hid near the exit gate and as soon as they left I started opening it, and I ended up fully opening the gate and leaving before the killer even came back. All you have to do is wait near the gate and watch the killer leave.
However it is way harder to do this on maps like The Game and Dead Dawg Saloon

Can't tell if bait but I'll bite. Survivors should be killed before gates? How do you figure that? There is always room for one to escape, hence hatch (of which I had no option for at the time). Any killer with half a brain will notice the lights on the switch and know to search the area immediately in cases like mine where there was clearly not a big enough distance to try to get the gates. Powering the gates also doesn't always mean gg. You could power the gates and get downed before you can make it to the exit very easily. Again, very easy for my Billy to do if I'd have got the gate.

sometimes the gates are too far apart and impossible to defend both, making it a 50/50, it's just the nature of RNG
Clem1710 Jul 20, 2020 @ 6:06am
Exit gates can be far away from each other, and it's the opposite situation, impossible to check for the killer
StopItStepBro Jul 20, 2020 @ 6:11am
Yamoaka Estate is the absolute worst with this because 90% of the time, the doors will spawn on the same side AND roughly 40m from each other. There should honestly be a threshold with the game's RNG that prevents doors from spawning within a certain distance from each other.
