Pyramid head is just a better huntress
Faster movement so better patrolling, quicker pallet games since he can hit anywhere around the pallet rather huntresses wonky hatchet hit boxes, tracking and a cage that progresses hooks so you don’t gotta slug.

The only I can think of that huntress does better is if she has the insta down hatchets addon OR basement games. Huntress has got a very strong basement game. Also she can do a quick throw and hit someone far away but those rely on survivors not paying attention and good knowledge about how the hatchets travel.

My change. Remove insta down hatchets and give her an innate tracking ability or increase her speed when she’s out of hatchets.

Eh, debatable.
Ironically i just went from being a Pyramid Head main to a Huntress main because Huntress did better for me despite me thinking i'm pretty alright with PH.

Personally i think they're about the same, just each has their own situations they shine in more than the other. Sidegrades like Myers and Ghostface, if you will.

Nice april fool joke but i agree the only 1 reason huntress top tier is her add-on but overall pyramid head is a joke

There is a solid idea here though. Increasing move speed when out of ammo.

Not sure how to properly add it but the idea is kinda nifty at least

Honestly?

This would be a pretty good QoL buff for huntress. If you run out of hatchets when you're just about to catch someone in a chase you may still have hope of being able to M1 them.

Worst case scenario you can quickly run back to a locker with better speed and reload.

Not gamechanging but very much appreciated for sure.

Any dropped pallet is a guaranteed hit for pyramid head.

The knife drags may not actually do anything beyond torment but in my gameplay survivors avoid this ♥♥♥♥ like the plague for some reason (I think it’s because less points if caged and it’s an anti DS and BT)

A good pyramid head can bait players with the knife drag into not climbing windows, guaranteeing a melee if they don’t take the window or a ranged if they do take the window. (Granted huntress can make the down happen faster if the survivor is careless)

Pyramid head does not need to slug, a favorite to use is infectious fright, just cage and then forget while you immediately start another chase, otherwise you can just hook as normal and use final judgement later to shave off some time that would’ve been taken if you had picked up the survivor.

Pyramid heads ability is piss easy to dodge out in the open and it’s risky for him to use it without direct visual of the survivor, so more often then not it’s just a punishment tool for when survivors use pallets or windows and are locked in a predictable animation.

Can also prevent you from dropping or before you reach pallet too :) make PH is pointless to play while we have 10+ killer that can do the same and better

Except that would ruin the entire point. Survivors who dodge hatches wouldn't be rewarded for their efforts. Rite now if you can dodge hatches you get rewarded with an easier chase because of how slow the Huntress is. This works because hatches (in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing) are really strong. Its like when a Hillbilly bonks into a wall or a Nurse misses a double blink swing, you get rewarded with with some breathing room as a survivor whenever the Killer makes a mistake. If you were to freely give the Huntress more movement speed for being out of hatches (note: regardless of if they missed or not) you would simply be punishing the survivor even more.

This might work as an add-on idea, but not as a base tool for the kit.

I mean, people counter Plague by not cleansing and having her be a M1 Killer. They are punishing her for using her power by negating acess to her Corrupt, and loop her cuz she's now just a default speed m1 killer with no power.
I don't think a default speed M1 killer will be of any issue to any competent survivor.

But this goes back to me saying it works as an add-on. Plague has add-ons that allow her to start with one corrupted pool. Also she can still use her power even without survivors cleansing. It makes her into an M1 killer but its an M1 killer that only takes 1 shot to kill people, its not really the same thing as say, for example, wraith or trapper.

Eh, Fair point actually.
Maybe they could remove iri head and replace it by an ultra rare addon that increases your movement speed if you have no hatchets.

You convinced me.

Yeah, no. Huntress has no range on her M2 attack and can easily do a 1-2 hit combo with a thrown hatchet then M1. Not to mention her penalty for missing isn't anywhere near as bad as PH's. She can down so much faster than what PH can.

Get a Pyramid Head a basement play and he can maybe hit multiple people if they were dumb enough to position themselves in such a way.

Get a Huntress a basement play and literally every survivor involved can be downed.

Pyramid head as a killer alone can hold up well on his own and I say that because he actually has something in his kit for the pallet loop games. but obviously there are going to be better picks because BHVR don’t know balance.

But do we play nurse and spirit and nothing but nurse and spirit?

Nurse: nobody beats nurse. Nobody. You wanna be the best then you play nurse until you master her.

Spirit: another top tier killer, mobility and mind game potential. Not as good as nurse but still pretty damn good. Easily beats pyramid head.

Freddy: He can slow down survivors at pallets and he’s got a teleport. He beats out pyramid head because his kit has an anti blendette with a mini time waster if survivors do it (alarm clock and wake up), a way to effectively stop certain loops with the slowdown, and a really good mobility move. All with 115 move speed.

Hag: three gen it up and build a spiders web. Good pallet play and methods. Beats pyramid head.

Billy: Even though he has an insta down still has to conform to most looping play, he is a balanced killer and in some situations where he just has to run another loop for the M1, pyramid head can just wait for the pallet to drop and then just hit the survivor while they are in the animation. I’d say he’s above Pyramid head but below the listed above since his effective way of dealing with loops is to wait for a survivor ♥♥♥♥ up rather then doing something manually. His mobility and insta downs still put him above pyramid head who has neither and must resort to three gen.

Oni: just a better billy now, way better at insta downing at pallet loops since he can’t really ♥♥♥♥ up and the killer has a lot of control with the charge. Oh and Oni has a weak tracking method along but it’s something.

Trapper: close down 2-3 loops but doesn’t guarantee a down. Also has to use time in order to place those traps. If survivors bring small game or god forbid a map then you’re doomed to hear your traps reopen. This guy in my eyes is worse than pyramid head in the pallet game and *requires* survivor ♥♥♥♥ ups to do good. He shines later on though with well placed traps but against SWF, once a trap is found everybody knows where it is.

Clown: he threw a slowdown bottle when pyramid head got a hit. Clown is a worse Freddy and thus worse than pyramid head.

Demogorgon: that lunge is finicky and predictable. It’s more of a baiting threat tool than anything like pyramid heads attack but the key difference here is it can’t go through walls. Demo has to play the pallet game sometimes while pyramid head ignores that ♥♥♥♥. Demo has teleportation though which makes me say they’re equal. Pyramid can down better than demo and demos got a mobility and arguably better tracking method with “wards.” Also Demo has a slight weakness to him in which Demo announces everything he’s doing to the entire survivor team “hello survivors, I am now going through a portal, please check your local portal for signs of communist activity.”

Huntress: see post above, insta down hatchets put her above pyramid head in my eyes but that’s an ultra rare add-on. Otherwise Pyramid head just plays the pallet game better than huntress.

Deathslinger: Deathslinger is a way worse huntress... And you already know how I feel about where Huntress stands. At least huntress has insta down hatchets going for her...

Doctor: ability can stop survivors from dropping pallets while looping, so survivors just drop pallets earlier than normal. He’s got insane tracking though so very little downtime in a Doctor game. I still say he’s worse than pyramid since where pyramid got a hit and a dropped pallet, Doctor just zapped a guy who dropped the pallet.

Pyramid ain’t the best, he’s balanced. He won’t be reaching nurse or spirit tiers of meta but he can still hold his own.
StopItStepBro Jul 15, 2020 @ 8:10pm
Whenever server side hit detection hits the game and she's no longer throwing fridges, PH will probably take the lead. Though for few Huntresses who actually have accuracy, Iri Heads and swing\throw combos will still be pretty deadly.

demogorgon shred speed is 18m/s which is predictable yes u can know he would go but you forget that 18m/s is faster than nurse blink so for demo it possible to hit survivor that arent in loop unlike pyramid head dat must be in loop only on survivor in action
