There's a way to turn it off, as of now when you use anonymous mode it will also turn off the music, with a dedicated 'turn off licensed music' coming with the next update. Downside is you can't share your TTV through your name during this time.
Honestly, the 'turn off licensed music' option should have been made during this collab and not the next chapter release.
I mean, as long as you disable the music itself, you can run the skins like any other skin.
But yea, I really hate how greedy the record companies are that they'll give streamers a strike for music in a GAME. The streaming of music as long as it's part of a game (and not like GTAV's Self Radio) should be included.
Well, it's because the only reason they are making a separate toggle is because most streamers don't actually use "Streamer Mode" which is what Anonymous is supposed to be. So they complained about having to do that. So that's why the separate copyrighted music toggle is not ready yet.
I hadn't realized there was a seperate slider for lobby music, thanks for that heads up!
And I remember when I'd stream Ocarina of Time, my VoDs would get slapped with a copyright warning due to people remixing the Lost Woods theme. Those are usually easy to fix, since the ones using that song obviously don't own it, but for something like this Iron Maiden collab it would be pretty much impossible to have VoDs up for those.
As for just going live without saving the VoD, I'm not entirely sure. I'd have to ask around the Guitar Hero community or something, lol.
Game chops will not get striked I used to use but lofi tends to make me too mellow/tired
Good to know, but I should rephrase that, I mean the copyright strikes would come from people mixing the Lost Woods theme into their own music and didn't own the rights to it and (I guess) Twitch finds the original song in a VoD from the game itself and thinks it's from the remixer's song, even though that's obviously not the case.
Applying that logic to Iron Maiden, I'm gonna say Iron Maiden wins that copyright strike.
