Iron Maiden collab
Will we get in trouble if streaming with the skins on? It changes to the music if equipped which totally cool, I just wouldn't like a strike

I guarantee you'll get a strike if it's playing Fear Of The Dark.

There's a way to turn it off, as of now when you use anonymous mode it will also turn off the music, with a dedicated 'turn off licensed music' coming with the next update. Downside is you can't share your TTV through your name during this time.

Honestly, the 'turn off licensed music' option should have been made during this collab and not the next chapter release.

Why bother changing the music at all if that's the case. Big streamers aren't gonna use the skins if it's gonna strike them. I'm small streamer but I can def see big names not wanting to show off the new killers cause they get slapped with a strike

I mean, as long as you disable the music itself, you can run the skins like any other skin.

I have to turn off my name in order to do so to use rather than the solution which is there being held back.
You can also just reduce the lobby music to 0%. At least until the copyrighted music toggle comes.

But yea, I really hate how greedy the record companies are that they'll give streamers a strike for music in a GAME. The streaming of music as long as it's part of a game (and not like GTAV's Self Radio) should be included.

In any case the real fix is menu music to 0% Unless the lightening strikes to the beat are copy strikable it's fine. I just dislike the idea of the solution being held back, instead of with the thing it's clearly made for. Which says to me they inquired about it and were told if the music played they'd be striked on streaming platforms. As we don't have anything else besides Myers that plays coprighted and that never strikes.

It's just baffling cause the toggle is clearly made for this collab then is being held back rather than made with it.

Well, it's because the only reason they are making a separate toggle is because most streamers don't actually use "Streamer Mode" which is what Anonymous is supposed to be. So they complained about having to do that. So that's why the separate copyrighted music toggle is not ready yet.

Because it's a big hassle and dbd is honestly the only game where stream sniping does much. It was entered for the cheaters holding the game hostage for 2+ hours now that's dead.

I uploaded this video to our personal you tube. Its Kate in the Iron Maiden shirt and later includes the lobby and the music. https://youtu.be/HxWPl87gF9Q

You tube correctly identified the video had an iron maiden song in it, and picked it up for Copyright on that basis. However, its given a pass with no restrictions on it to viewing.
Make of that what you will relative to Twitch, which I know it quite different.

I hadn't realized there was a seperate slider for lobby music, thanks for that heads up!

And I remember when I'd stream Ocarina of Time, my VoDs would get slapped with a copyright warning due to people remixing the Lost Woods theme. Those are usually easy to fix, since the ones using that song obviously don't own it, but for something like this Iron Maiden collab it would be pretty much impossible to have VoDs up for those.

As for just going live without saving the VoD, I'm not entirely sure. I'd have to ask around the Guitar Hero community or something, lol.

If you wanna stream with music on twitch you just have to set up the audio beta on twitch. I use it so I can listen to city pop or my chat can request music. It plays live but not in vods where the system checks.

But for remixes without copyright https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDVKYPXwdYUQfgA05CkyFSg

Game chops will not get striked I used to use but lofi tends to make me too mellow/tired

Good to know, but I should rephrase that, I mean the copyright strikes would come from people mixing the Lost Woods theme into their own music and didn't own the rights to it and (I guess) Twitch finds the original song in a VoD from the game itself and thinks it's from the remixer's song, even though that's obviously not the case.

Applying that logic to Iron Maiden, I'm gonna say Iron Maiden wins that copyright strike.

There's a contest option and you provide clips. I had to do when some rapper tried copystriking my intro music with is royalty free "space" music because I cover all my bases. He prob thought the generic countdown both tracks used was enough. But I just provided the link to the royalty free song I used and how it was used in my vods with a description. links to his paywalled thus unhearable tracks and 2 days later they dismissed it. So anytime he goes to try it again with that song there's already a strike on his account for false copyright strike.

People pointing out a bad choice once again made by the company isn't 'catering' to anyone. Copyright strikes are abused across any platforms and the solution for it is being held back because BHVR can't be bothered to do things accordingly.
It's not a bad choice. There's no point delaying the collab to wait for the patch for a niche part of the playerbase
