Did the Pop and Pain Res nerfs made alot of sense?
Pain Res had a +40% pick rate and was nerfed, to "make it less of a clear choice".
Pop was nerfed, because "it was too easy to get".

Now the main thing was seeing both perks combined was very strong, therefore weaken both and get more variety in builds, on paper.

But by nerfing those 2 Perks and not buffing alternatives (even slightly nerfing Grim Embrace and Deadlock), you pretty much incentivise players to use both to get more value from gen regression.

Do I overlook something, or did the nerf really just aim to nerf Killer in general?
Like I said, no new or better and healthier alternatives, just a decrease in value overall.

Pop as 20% is a dead perk, any alternative is better. It was 20% before and they had to buff it cause noone was using it heh. And here we go again, they literally just reverted their buff. Honestly bhvr once again just shows that they have 0 idea how to balance their own game.

The fun of all this it's Gen Rush in highr mmr SWF it's a things, it's a problem, and for fight this problem.. they nerf perks gen regresion lol, but don't nerf the survs perks gen

The devs balance for the bottom MMR and sometimes middle but almost never upper levels. At low levels PGTW and PR do a ton of damage to the survivors. At high levels you almost cant win as killer without gen defense because the survivors want to win the game in 4 mintues via gen rush.

So when we have Nurse and Blight Running those perks in Mid MMR they destroy the competition. But when you have everyone else running them they dont do as well. Unfortunately most of the perk balance is geared for : well what if Blight and Nurse use this?

The smart solution would have been : ok we make killers that get really fast downs and can move quickly across the map get half as much out of PGTW. All the killers with *zero* map movement speed get twice as much when they use it.

But the developers dont seem to think that's an option.

It's like the DS problem where they should give Nurse, Blight, Billy and other high mobility killers a 5 second stun. But when you have a killer that has no mobility like Nemesis, Pig or Trapper that should probably only be a 3 second stun.
the problem, i think, is that killers are too weak without pop/pain res but too strong with pop/pain res. there's not really a healthy middle ground especially when you have matches that swing between weak solo queue teams and strong swf teams.

They should do what they refuse to do, touch survivor gen speeds/items or introduce (force) them to leave gens for some other objective to naturally slow gen progression down. There's no ground left to adjust killer perks anymore, they are either use able or not worth it.

Painres still good, pop is dead for me (exept killers like Trapper, slow and territorial)
So for now I use ruin undying pentimento and thrill of the hunt, crazy passive build for chases only

Just tunnel. It is the only strategy left for killers that can get somewhat decent results; despite what survivors may tell you.

why dont they just buff survivors for insta gen win at this point, id like to see the devs play against swf live.
