I don't remember the exact date, but it was shortly before the Silent Hill chapter was released.

Played a bit in the beta, hated it at the time, felt like a rushjob to beat Friday the 13th to market [which it was at the time, the F13 team were in the middle of retooling that game to BE F13 at the time, as it was originally an homage project called Slasher:Vol 1, SummerCamp.]

Came back around Year 3, just prior to the release of Ghostface, been around off and on ever since.
