You don't run it to win.

You run it to out-goof the goofy basement perks.

Also it does catch anyone running that new one that lets you self-care in basement.

its already a bad perk that wastes time why run something to counter it if its basically just a 5th killer perk
people have been overhyping the value of invocation since it was revealed, so it's only natural that as soon as it launches people are going to panic and counter-build it regardless of how worthwhile that actually is. once the dust has settled and people realize that invocation is really mid at best they'll stop.

The only counter you need is BBQ, or really any information perk.

I caught 2 survivors ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around in the basement with BBQ and the game was basically over from there.

The real problem is that it is a good perk... for SWFs who co-ordinate it for a fast activation to make the last 1 or 2 gens impossible to protect.

"Hey guys. Time to do it. Meet at basement for that X3 casting boost since we lost our runner."

its to help basement camp. When you camp, there is nothing better than basement. its part of a lazy grind camping build. You may see insidious, chucks friends perk, star struck, iron grip, mad grit, devour hope, agitation, used along side it

Find, take to basement, camp, slug, tunnel. Ad nauseam. These are the pro-camping build variations.
That's not what anyone here is talking about. They're using it to counter the invocation perk that just got added.

Also like, people will be USING it, so as a killer, you would counter-build it since you know you'll see it, at least if you see a Sable.

Edit: I also run it somewhat anyway 'cause I like weird builds. Honestly I think it's kinda underrated if you have a teleport, because survivors do often head down there for the box, self-care, healing each-other, waiting out debuffs... It's not a great place to be, which means that killers don't expect to see you, which makes it a good place to be.

Then a killer goes to the basement as no one is doing gens and interrupts causing a snowball. Hell, the killer could let the invocation finish as the person with the perk gets broken status for the remainder of the trial.

Dear lord this game gets worse and worse. No wonder none of my friends lasted more than 4 games tonight. And even that was pushing them to stay.

So, the terratorial perk, is purely to help in camping. And its even more popular today because of Sable's new knock off terrible perks, which only work in the basement. Honestly, just run self-care, deliverance and any gen speed boosting perk for a better option and outcome.

Why oh why would you want perks where you have to go into the basement to get use of them. The time taken to go there far outweighs any potential benefit and the risks are crazy. You are literally handing yourself over to camping killers for an even easier 4k, in their favourite place. (They even get more points).

They run Territorial, with Iron Grip, Agitation, and one other. its been going on for years. Its one of the pro-camper builds. You might even call it the classic pro camper build, since its all perks from the base game. So, Sable just means we will get it more than ever.

As for the killer. Oh my word. Did they get that designed in a kindergarten competition?
I don't hold out much hope for this game anymore. its being camped to death. You can't even join a new event on day 1, without it being extreme from the get go. It ruined the "LIght's Out" event as well in the same fashion. The game needs ways to address pro-camping the basement, and instead we have this? Oh dear.

To all those camp, tunnel, slug killers, the only thing you have acheive, is to ruin the game. I think a monkey could use these streamer builds to win over and over. Its just a terrible design flaw, that has slowly poisoned the game, as more and more low skill killers use it to death.

Sable was put into the game for money because players will buy cosmetics. Her perks were added to the game to inflate killer kill stats and to let other survivors "grief" each other under the guise of helping. There's really no other reason the run her or her perks other than to grief.

It also highlights how disconnected the devs are from their own game that they thought her perks were gonna be useful in any way. Just a cash grab like the last few survivor additions to the game.
