Huntress base kit 7 hatchets
As a Huntress main for over several years on multiple platforms, the 7 hatchets base kit is too much man, I have played roughly 10 matches since the update has gone live and each game goes the same way, zero gens done, two if they're lucky, no slugging, crazy damage output, more room for error. Survivors are going to have a very rough time with the new amount of hatchets you can carry, and there is now no need to bring extra hatchet add-ons, or perks that increase reload time as on average you can take easily three chases without needing to reload. Ultimate Weapon gets slightly nerfed on her because of this so that's a plus?

With that being said, I love it, buff Huntress again please :)

Sorry 'bout that (Banned) Mar 12, 2024 @ 11:50am
If they had increased the number of lockers on some maps it would have buffed Huntress and indirectly Dredge who is a very bad killer.

but i guess it's more profitable and easier for BHVR to delve into skins, chapters and lazy buff and nerf rather than taking care of important things that take time but don't yield much for them

i don't think the problem of huntress for people that wanna learn her is her basekit

i believe it's all the reworked/new maps
i used to main huntress (i wasn't a great huntress player but i was decent) but since all the new maps have 712 obstacles randomly placed everywhere around the map it's easier for survivors to dodge
that's how i felt at least

I'd say give it a time for the survivors to understand how things changed, and to start keeping their head on a swivel when they hear the lullaby.

Glad to hear she's rocking matches again :D

Yeah, honestly Huntress didn't need a buff, she was in a very nice spot if you ask me, but I guess since she is one killer that hasn't been adjusted in forever, similar to Myers they couldn't help themselves. Dredge needs more love.

She has a high skill ceiling, which is one of the reasons I have mained her for so many years, but you're right over the life-cycle of this game there has been many tiles introduced that are very hard or impossible to properly play as a Huntress player. But there's also many that are very easy to play around so it's a bit of give and take.

what changes? its just a regular old huntress, with a lot more hatchets, when she was already very deadly with 5 hatchets, especially if people fail to dodge hatchets or dont know how to deal with her.

i feel like they buffed huntress because they thought unknown was going to outshine her in the projectile ability category rather than her being weak

The only issue is, things have changed in a way that's nothing but a benefit for the Huntress lol, but I'm sure survivors will adapt to the 7 hatchets, they'll just have to play like you're running infantry belt 24/7. I'm personally loving the new Huntress.

Now players will play as her even more, why buff an already popular killer (№2)? In what games does this happen? Shouldn't low pick rate killers be fixed first?

No you're right though, I'm not sure what her pick rate is but she is very popular. The other guy that mentioned the Dredge was on the right track for buffs. Who would you want buffed next?

In the new maps, aiming is almost impossible, there are a thousand and one bushes or structures that block your hatchet very easily, only the most open maps are where the huntressis truly strong.

I'm actually curious about this, were the survivors doing well otherwise and the hatchet increase just was an overkill, or were the survivors a typical SoloQ uncoordinated mess?

And before someone gets mad, I'm not prying for bad survivors plays or anything, I'm actually curious about the consensus.

My guess is she's fun enough, at low skill levels, to be pretty popular with newer players, which in turn lowers her kill rate, which is how the devs balance the game.

Yeah, as a fellow Huntress, like... I saw this and my first response has just been "Hey great I win now"

No I'm curious too, maybe the data was pulled from people learning Huntress and struggling with the movement speed? It's very rare for multiple survivors to get out in my games unless they're a SWF or I'm just completely throwing due to being off my game.

Personally, I think the hatchet increase is overkill because now it feels like I'm playing with 3 add-ons in every game.

You know what, that's a very good point I didn't even really think about, either way I will enjoy Huntress' prime time while it lasts.
