They probably malfunctioned, considering you'd need the ai to act differently, depending on the killer.

considering how bad survivor bots are i can only imagine how hilariously terrible killer bots would have been

I would imagine they would act like the trapper in the tutorial

Imagine a bot nurse match.

i mean they statet its going to take long for them to be coded, but not 1 info about them since.

they are better than some real players though. At least they do gens and dont throw tantrums over anything.

I mean afk cheaters can make them move, using their power and all, BHVR could too.

Thats the thing, if it was the same like survivor bots we could choose which bots we go against in custom, i would play against trickster 90% of the time while trying out perk synergy.

and if you have a good match and killer disconnects just like that, then your points are not lost.

Killer bots are probably really hard to code check out trapper bot from the tutorial he legit hits the air and using some killers power requires bunch of complicated things

Coding a game enemy is generally a headache, imagine having to do it "credible". Survivors are easier to do because they are only skins to the same "character", their basic actions are "do gen" (sit on a gen and fail skillcheks with X chance), "loop (do it for X seconds until you "surrender", "unhook (when x conditions match go to hook and performan unhook with X probability", "heal (same as repair gen)" and "hide (go to hiding spot if killer nar, you are healthy and killer didnt see you". Sometimes bots perform other minor actions (such a 100% accuracy blinding with a flashlight). Killers have more variables to control and many more "strategic decisions" to make. On top of that every killer is very different from other, imagine having to do a bot every 3 months. Finally, having bots for all roles makes the game just local. You don´t need skins in local games, who will see them?

Who says they need to enrol them out all at once?

Lets suppose that not at once. You will have to do a functional bot in 3 or less months if you want to someday converge. Coding a functional and credible bot is not done in a couple of hours and it is harder to do than the killer itself. Adding bot killers is just not worth the effort.

I get that, I'd just appreciate if they'd tell us that's what's up personally

Them being hard to code is what BHVR stated from the beginning, yet still they PROMISED Killer bots will be there in the future, i would fully understand this taking some more YEARS but no mention of those since makes me think they dropped the whole thing.

Well tbf if i recall it right, BHVR themselves said as much. They said something along bringing out the bots to all existing killers at once and then consistently working on all bot versions for new upcoming killer, it is a ton amount of work.

This, even if they say they scrapped the whole killer bot idea, i would just like to have some sort of official update on the matter.

And on the argument that they are just too complicated to code, they are really not. Cheaters can do afk blight and afk doctor using their powers, it is not too complicated for them. But its probably extremely time consuming and i assume they dont have time for it between their content release and event, bugfix and balance schedule etc. But to quote myself:

Doing an AFK killer is ultraesy. Doing a functional one is much harder.
