Is insidious a viable perk on anyone?

I’m just curious if this perk has any legitimate good use behind it aside from just having fun spooking survivors like when I waited in a basement of a house near a generator in a dark corner as the alien queen, waited for two people to come work on the gen before I loomed out and snatched one right off it. The chat afterwards said they nearly pooped themselves and the other said they needed a doctor after that

I can see some use in it, playing as deathslinger and waiting nearby someone who’s downed or on hook and shooting the rescuer but I wondered if it’s got any use in any genuinely good builds

It's a meme perk that can get value in some situations, but viable, no.

Apart for waiting near an objective for a surprise attack, it's just a jump scare perk, which is why it's my favorite one haha. I love standing between the dummies on The Shelter Woods map with my Legion and giving survivors a mini heart attack when they pass by me.

you can use it on doctor or unknown and pretend to be an illusion for the lols.

I got successful Insidious jumpscares with Tiffany, Pig and Jerry the Unknown. Mostly corner spooks but still funny

I once scared the bejeezus out of someone by waiting Insidious inside an open exit gate, and lunging at the last survivors to leave. I don't use it for anything but the memes, though.

You can get some good jumpscares with The Unknown and Insidious.

it doesn't help you slow the game down and it doesn't help you in chase. it has very little use on outdoor maps but it can be strong on indoor maps.

so if i used it i'd probably bring a map offering to an indoor map along with a killer with an instant down.
