Wheres the RPD map?
I left this game some time after the first Resident Evil chapter came out and loved the RPD police station map. Me and my friends had lots of fun playing custom games on it, and navigating the map wasn't much of a problem. Now I want to come back to the game but they split my favorite map in two, ruining the appeal of the map in my eyes. I know lots of players were whining that it was too big, and that people kept getting lost because they didn't play RE2, or didn't try to learn the map. Is there really a good reason why it wasn't just relegated to custom games though? It was such a good map in its original state.

Thats just it though IT WAS too big. Anyone who's played RE2 will be familiar with the layout, but getting lost in the map layout wasn't the issue. I get your frustration, but as the map was a to scale replica of sorts doesn't mean a different games' survival horror map will play well with the fast paced flow of DBD's game design. Which it didn't. They learned that lesson pretty quick due to the backlash the map got for its issues. While it is a loveletter of sorts to the franchises' fans not everyone is a die hard fan of RE or its huge environments (ie RPD). Proper game design flow when making maps is key to making players satisfied

I’m not arguing for it to be put into the public map rotation. I just don’t get why it’s not in custom games. I just want to play the OG map with my friends. I can understand why it’s not a great fit for DbD.

The old combined map in custom games would be nice to play around with all the Resident Evil characters they've added. I wonder if they could even do that, though. This game seems held together by paperclips in some areas.
