what is the problem with dying on first hook! there is an option to chance for unhook so i use it as it is an in game feature and i cannot hit skill checks! so dont blame me that the devs removed tapping the space bar and replaced it with the stupid skillcheck!

If you can't hit skill checks, you probably shouldn't be playing in the first place since you are a detriment

they had one before but for some stupid reason they changed it!

Some games can be very difficult with disability and if you enjoy this game still then find a group of friends to play with that are aware of this on discussions and looking for players. people will sweat like crazy in online but its probably better to play custom games so that they understand why you have trouble find a accepting group of players and you can have a lot of fun. But otherwise it might be better to try a game with less QTE's or is less fast paced

Logically skill checks would be infinitely easier than absolutely going hard mashing even with nerve damage because all your doing in both is pressing a button but skillchecks is alot slower in comparison so actually is helping your case resulting in the end issue just being a skill issue.

Also if you can't tap using Ur hand or such just rebind to a different key and adapt honestly, best thing you can do

Some times I run corrective action perk when I play with new people. It could help situation a little. Also maybe if your on PC you could assign the button to a foot peddle if the issue is with your hand. It's 2024 Microsoft has made huge strides in disability friendly controllers

Unless you have the Adam Francis Deliverance perk , and have fulfilled saving someone else before you’re first hooked, I don’t think there’s a 100% chance. Sure bringing vigo jars helps, but it isn’t a guarantee.
Getting yourself to second hook with attempts just makes it easier for killer, and one less teammate for the group sooner.

they changed it because people complained it gave them hands problems
you have hand problems
see the issue here? for anyone else that doesnt have a disability with their eyes or hands the skillchecks are extremely easy
dbd would have to be redesigned from tbe ground up to not rely on reaction time, fast inputs, and visual feedback

Perks that increase chance to unhook yourself:
-Slippery Meat: 4% chance increase, 3 extra attempts (General Perk)
-Up the Ante: Increases luck by 3% for each survivor alive (includes self and affects everyone) (Ace Visconti Perk)
-Deliverance: 100% chance, causes broken, MUST unhook someone before your 1st hook (Adam Francis Perk)
-Wicked: 100% chance to unhook yourself IF you're hooked in basement, also gives killer aura for 20 seconds regardless of hook. (Sable Ward Perk)

Then there's the various luck offerings. And the base chance to unhook yourself is only 4%, 4 people running Up the Ante + all running Salty Lips offering is only a 52% chance to unhook yourself.

If you're not running atleast one of those perks don't try to unhook yourself. And even if you have Ante or Meat, I wouldn't recommend it. Even the tutorial tells you not to; that it's a last resort option. If you REALLY have to unhook yourself instead of having no patients to wait, run Deliverance or Wicked and make sure you get hooked under their requirements.
