Nothing new that is actually interesting has been added for a while. If you ask me, the game is just boring and unless you're super hooked like a crack addict to crack to the base mechanics, you're better off finding other games to play. Oh yeah, not to mention playing this game is as healthy to you as is crack (it's not).
soo some changes that i didnt like in the past few years and some of them might lead me to play rarely now(main survivor who likes fun+fair+challenge)
- no more moris the way u knew; after 3 hooks u can (get) mori
- borrow time is a thing now in the game as a passive ability
- no more full team escapes with key for hatch. its only for the last person
in the pros
- new killers u can try out (or vs) even on training(they have added bots for practice etc)
- head on survivor's perk
- the new event !
- community is actually much much better cuz cross play is on and console players cant see the chat or write (idk if they changed it lately) so its chill af on endgame chat
- endgame collapse (Timer after opening gate annd..u ll see! )
i dont recall which year these changes have been done, but maybe 1 or 2 u didnt know.
these came to my mind now, if u play u might discover more good&bad changes.

The killers feel more like skins every patch. The meta is still just as atrocious, there are even more terrible maps, there are more perks but killer meta is either 4 Hexes, or Stall with bamb or Lightborn.
Survivor meta consists of Release BT but for downed people (FTP BU)
Flashbang perk that if timed and placed perfectly is completely unavoidable as killer (Lightborn is unironically meta)
And the same exhuastion perks that were meta in 2016 are still meta today. SB, Lithe, Adren, DH. Your pick.
Killer meta has devolved into being forced to run Lightborn to secure pickups against good Flashbang users, being forced to run bamboozle so you can actually stop structures and mindgame people for hits at windows, being forced to run Pop/Pain Res so that hooking people can actually slow the game down somewhat. Implying you don't main a top tier.
Tunneling is still the most efficient way to gain pressure
Slugging has been nerfed dozens of times
Hit and Run isn't consistently viable and obliterated by medkits as most killers
Camping has many counters + more ways to prevent hooks/coordinate rescues from hooks
3-gen Has been nerfed many times
Overall, the game hasn't improved much at all and you're better off investing your time into literally anything else.
thats not bad. free and first perks are and have to be the most powerful perks and it should remain that way!
But balance doesn't equal fun
Dbd is camping, tunneling, slugging and genrush. Have fun.
