EAC failed to validate your account

Twice now I've been kicked from a game (this last time at the very end of the match, exit gates were open) because easy anti-cheat apparently messed itself up. I was of course punished as if I chose to disconnect. I've repaired the EAC install twice now. Is this happening to anyone else?

Yes, it happened to me for the first time last month, then a couple days ago. Rebooting the game seems to help, but no idea what causing this issue.

Try this:

Go to Library on Steam
Right click Dead by Daylight
Click properties
Click Installed Files
Click Browse
Go into EasyAntiCheat folder
Launch EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
There should be a prompt to repair EasyAntiCheat. Try doing that.

Usually it means ban if error code is 3

I tried this and the easy anti cheat application crashes immediately when I double click it.
