Grim Embrace auto triggers DMS as it forces everyone to let go of the gen they are working on and that is not bad at all. So if you can reliably get hooks you will block generators reliably...
BUT
- works once per survivor
- no hook no block
- even if you get 4 blocks after that the Grim Embrace is over
Most times there is one survivor that is hard to catch which prevents you from fully using it.
Works extremely well if you dominate the survivors, not good if you are at equal skill level, and works absolutely NOT when you are dominated as the killer
Perks that help you recover from losing situations tend to be more meta. That doesn't stop some folks from running combos that give them the occasional power fantasy every once and a while.
I still think GE should override DMS when you're booted off the generator and letting go after procs what is left of DMS, making the killer need to go out of their way to get that value.
