Turning off crossplay means you will only match with other players on your platform with crossplay also off. I recommend keeping crossplay on so you can keep shorter queue times. <3

The globe icon can also mean Epic users. They aren't all console.

While, I can agree to some degree that playing on console is a bit complicated as a huntress or maybe Blight, but survivor role is kind of easier on controller.
If you encounter really bad survivor as your teammate, however, you might are on a lower mmr side. :lunar2019piginablanket:

No, matchmaking takes too long if you turn it off.

If you're ready to wait 20 minutes in queue, go for it

Disabling crossplay in Dead by Daylight can be beneficial for players who prefer to compete solely against others on their own platform. This option allows for a more consistent gaming experience and ensures that players face opponents with similar hardware capabilities and input methods. Additionally, disabling crossplay can mitigate potential issues such as lag or communication barriers that may arise when playing with individuals on different platforms. Ultimately, the choice to disable crossplay provides players with greater control over their gaming environment and enhances their overall enjoyment of the game.

I just leave the lobby if it has crossplayers in it. Untill i have a full lobby of pc players.
Unfortunatly the killer could be a crossplayer ( who in my opinion play's boring and sweaty) cant tease them or have fun.
Otherwise if you turn crossplay off, the match making will take forever.

This is impossible to know, though. Players with the globe may be using Epic or PC Game Pass too.

Well its either that, or take the risk of playing with console players.
I just stay in lobby's without globes.

While true, my gripe is that it excludes those on the same platform with it on. They should still be able to pool into non-crossplay matches because they're still on (in this case) Steam.
