Why do you need someone else to tell you if it's good or not?

It's bad, you need at least 666 million hours to hit pro level

it does not matter how many hours in game do you have, the dedication to learning and mastering it is that matters.
You can be 10k+ hours player and still be bad, but you can also have <1k hours and be really good

It depends how long you have been playing. The game is 7.5 years old.

So, 2 hours a day. for 365 days a year , is about 700 hours a year.
7.5 years at 700 hours a day is in the order of 5,000 hours.

If you are playing more than 2 hours a day, its probably classified as playing a lot.

We have players at 15,000 hours, so over the 7 years, that is like 6 hours a day. Meaning its almost like a full time job, (for 7 years).

The definition of addiction is, that is impedes on your normal life. I would say playing more than 2 hours a day, probably classifies for that, all things being equal. Most people only have 2-3 hours per day spare at most, after work, and housework, chores, etc.

If you look at the achievement, the average player who buys the game, probably only play 100 hours at most, before giving it up.
players with 15k hours are usually streamers who make a living out of this game and the fact that you play 2h+ a day doesn't mean anything unless you are truly seeing your mistakes, dedicated towards learbing from them and generally improving at the game

There is no pro scene or even mentionable competitive scene in dbd. Everyone is a self-proclaimed pro and nobody is stopping you from doing the same thing

there is a pro scene that is literally supported by BHVR themselves lol. DbDLeague if you are interested in knowing about it.

OP asked about time until mastering the game aka. becoming pro, we are not talking about casual excuses and many "casual" players are playing to win, but are expecting to have that win gifted.

Whilst clearly, "Pro-Streamers" are those with 10-15k hours in the game, many in the bracket, of 1k to 10k are not. And are simply playing the game 4-10 hours per day, often for weeks at a time.
i have seen way too many "pro streamers" with 10k+ hours that are way beyond bad at the game and are constantly making excuses for it.
And there are many <5k hours players that play far better than those.

Its all a personal choice what you do with your time. The original post was asking "What is a lot?". My personal view is that more than 2 hours a day. And probably playing more than 2k in total Since everything can easily be unlocked in the game by that time. (if not twice over).
original post was asking when they hit pro level.

Prestiges and hours are incredible exaragatted by the community like what the h is pro level. We are playing dbd not dota we dont need to learn every single thing like heroes, roles, items, skills and much more. Also watching dbd videos is fun so if you are watching videos daily you can learn the game easily and 250 300 hours is enough to be a good player especially if you are buying the dlcs with better perks

The "pro" scene is a joke. This game is awful for competitive esports.

maybe you should actually watch some DbDL pro tournaments before making rushed conclusions.
With nice set of rules, this game is quite eligible to be an esport.

Ohh, and it's really not shameful yo appreciate pro players of a game without making yourself be one of them.
DbD is quite literally the only PvP game where i see "casual" players trying to mock pro players despite those pro players literally not even playing pubs nearly as much as those casuals do.
