right now you can just play chill without 95% of all that toxicity.
i think this is really good so opininions differ on this subject i think.
I dont know what you mean about everyone coming together though. Most of the time it's either complaining, toxicity, or dead silence.
Unfortunately that is the price we pay for our ability to communicate. Some people are ♥♥♥♥♥, but them being able to be ♥♥♥♥♥ is what makes those who aren't, valuable.
You are right though, this is definitely a subjective matter- which is why I frame this around the social aspect and those who care about it.
I liked that part of the game aswell.
Making crossplay "off" by default would help that...
Well I play this game solo exclusively and have for the past 1000+ hours and I've always found it fun even if I'm not talking to anyone.
There is some intrinsic fun and merit to the gameplay even without the social aspect.
Yeah, as we've said, this is a subjective matter. There are people that enjoy the gameplay as a means of socializing and there are others who see socializing as a side thing.
This topic is about spreading awareness for those that do enjoy socializing in game and the possible negative effects that come with cross-play in this context.
I will say, though: aside longer queues, I've been running into the same people like 3 times already (with cross-play off)... so it could make for a more tightly knit community, but it's also fun to be able to meet all kinds of people.
