Since Myers makes no noise at all, he's fun to stalk and hit with. Some people get distracted as Myers. Myers stuck in EW1 is supposed to guard gens since he'll have no bloodrush, no speed. Myers in EW2 and EW3 is supposed to chase, problem is he will instant kill people who aren't paying attention or frustrate others who never saw him coming as the result of poor team mates. As they have implemented a gen kick limit, all Myers has is addons. And most people will not buy or play this killer because of this. I completely agree his base kit needs a buff. And the nerf to Save the Best for Last means Myers only has Play With Your Food and his addons are atrocious. Unfortunate.
I personally have fun with Myers, I've had dumb team mates that feed of course as survivor and that's not fun for anyone... But as a Myers main, I feel he could use some buff but tapered. If a Myers has fully stalked someone, its quite bad as the game can never be recovered if he doesn't snag a kill. His addons however show who might also be cheating though.
Vanity Mirror instead of Scratched Mirror is a good example of a cheater if he's ,"finding," people. Most cheaters have no idea how the addons work or how to apply them properly as they've never played these killers vanilla. There is a way to play Vanity Mirror.
His add-ons need a huge rework though. Almost every single one needs a balance pass and a redesign for them to be more interesting like modern add-ons without completely breaking the match. Tombstone and the achievements associated with it, as it is, has to go. Period. Until it does BHVR can't do anything to improve his add-ons or kit. Same goes with Tuft of Hair. It's my favorite Mikey add-on (as well as many other Mikeys, for good reason given the stalk cap) but it's way too strong. So much so that it entirely defines if a Mikey is dangerous or not.
My biggest issue with Mikey though isn't exactly on the surface. The way his scoring events are handled and the nature of his non-interactive kit until he is dangerous enough to kill means that most everyone in a Mikey match (including Mikey) almost always depip if they lose, blank pip if they win/do well, and barely get any points. After years of playing Mikey I've found that I end up playing against the score more than I play against the Survivors. I'm always going to win especially if I have Tuft of Hair so the match becomes about how to not win so fast that I end up with blank pips, below 20k points or DCs. His scoring events need a serious update and his kit and add-ons need to be re-examined so that Mikey matches don't remain as scoring potholes.

Maybe not DELETE though, but make it refill if you're stalking other people, just so you can't find a weak link and supercharge yourself every time?
At least that way, you won't have an incentive to end / tunnel people that are dry, and if there's only one person left, they could still run Myer's out of juice

Imo P1 Myers is the peak of how DbD experience should feel: you don't see him coming, he has short range and cannot one-shot you. It's not unfair but definitely scary and you WILL facecheck him at some point.
I'm not sure he needs a full rework but he needs changes that's for sure, the fact he can oneshot survivors with the tombstone also is quite troll/funny but also infuriating sometimes and should probably not be a thing.
He's still my favourite killer to play, his Scratched Mirror build is brilliant fun, both to play as and against. I think his mechanics are still pretty decent and I think if he gets put up for a rework, I fear the outcome will be a nerf somehow lol
