Subtle Haste Cheats
Just how prevalent are these? I just write it off to me tweaking, but sometimes I really feel like people are faster than they should be, and they have no perks to cause this.

I hear back and forth on whether the anti cheat is catching stuff like this recently.

edit: additionally, how common is it for a player on steam to use them compared to others like EGS or windows?

if you see a p100 dwight with the crossplay symbol, leave the lobby
that being said, once gens are done, hope is pretty common (7%)
Also killer hitboxes are way less forgiving then survivor hitboxes, so be really sure you are hugging the loop as tight as you can.

If you are really high level you might see subtle hackers, but the ones i see usually use a throwaway epic games account and are ♥♥♥♥ mmr (edit: and also the opposite of subtle)

Look at their Legs. Sometimes its very obvious, for example when someone suddenly does a mini Sprintburst before getting hit or when they become slower once youre far away

And its relativly "common" in high MMR. Especially very sublte 3%-5% Haste. Not every Game but yeah it happens

Honestly most of the Time its just tilt thought. I have this Problem myself on Chucky where I think "yeah hes speedhacking" before realizing im 110%

It's harder to get away with cheats on steam, but it doesn't matter, because they all go to epic, get caught (which is rare) and just make a new account anyway. Basically, every 3rd game, at least at higher rank, you will see a cheater. Only tip I can give, is get used to it. For some reason these cucks get off on cheating, no idea why.

Edit: I'm sorry to the cheaters that dealt with how their mom dealt with "punishment" for them as a child, but cheating doesn't make that pineapple up there come out any easier. May I suggest lube?

It's so hard to be certain...you basically have to catch them with aura-reading.
I don't know how many I've gone against, but I know what I'm capable of in this game, and it makes me raise an eyebrow when survivors seem to get the 4-escape with ease. The fact that THOSE kind of matches are rare only lends credence to the idea that they're cheating, but being quiet about it.

Yeah, I always check for hope or any other haste perks they could have. I think it's just tilt as someone else mentioned. Often I feel like survivors get WAY more distance out in the open with no haste or exhaustion perks than they should.

Funny enough I really only feel this when I'm playing very "stock" killers. I guess that's just when I have the most time spent holding w at survivors instead of using my power for downs.

In my opinion, cheaters have simply become smarter. Wallhack is the strongest hack. I often have rounds where the opponent knows every move I or we make. No advantages there. I've also encountered a small speed hack quite frequently. It's only a few percent, but enough for you not to catch the survivor in the same loop, while another one does it effortlessly, even though they run at the same speed. Again, no advantages. Conversely, there are times when you can't complete your round, even though it's usually an easy one. I've also heard about the Gen hack, but unfortunately, I can't confirm it, as I don't know when the survivor is working on it and for how long. Since I usually play in a Survive with Friends group, I don't see it when I'm the survivor, as opposed to being a survivor in other situations. However, these differences greatly influence the game, and it's not really verifiable since you can't review the games afterward. This feature is still missing to provide evidence in such cases."

This game have in high MMR a cheating problem i report the guys in end of the play but it is helpful? In the good surviver teams when im Killer i see many time 1 or 2 cheaters. they mostly low ranks on low accounts. And they much harder then lvl 100 guys with 1000 of play hours. For me this game have a cheating problem in high MMR. That means when you good in the game you have to play with cheaters and this sucks because SBMM. Same problem i had in CODMW2.

I've always heard cheating reports are pretty useless unless you also make a report directly to BHVR, ideally with evidence.

That's why we need to know what haste perks our opponents has once the chase starts, i really believe it's not that hard to implement and it will reduce false reports

We had a speedhacking killer yesterday, it seems that in one day he got tons of exploit reports from others and he was reviewed by dbd support even without evidence and was banned in 1 day, so tickets aren't that important, lots of ingame reports in one day is more than enough

The decision may have been made with other players' support tickets.
Tickets with evidence are important.

Sometimes your mileage in a chase will depend on being able to curve around objects tightly.

Using the survivor's smaller hitbox to their advantage, the best survivors will be the ones who pathfind closest to objects and "wall-lean". It makes all the difference to reach a window or pallet.

You'll notice for sure that some survivors seem to make it further than others in similar situations because of it.
