Pain resonance in soloque....
Hello, so i am a soloque survivor player here playing only solo.As we all know soloque is already really really hard with average chasing times for teammates beeing 10 seconds. I have a huge problem with pain resonance ill explain...I enter a game and start doing a gen insantly i get it to 40% my teammate dies and my gen is now at 15%(By the way for some reason soloque teammates refuse to touch a gen for the first 3-4 minutes of the game if not more) .Then i get my gen back to 50-60% ,my 2nd teammate meanwhile is getting the hooked person saved and healed up and my 3d teammate dies gets hooked and my gen is again back to 25%.Then again i get my gen back to 75-80% while one of my teammates save and heals the hooked player and now the last 3d pain res stack procks since my other teammate went down.Now my gen is yet again back to 50% and around 10-20 seconds later i got my gen at 70% again but killer now found me kicks the gen with pop goes the weasel( or even a normal kick) and starts chasing me away from it, i get a good chase going for around 1.5 minutes and eventually go down , meanwhile 1 or 2(if im lucky) teammates found out they have the ability to do generators and have a gen going for around 70% wich gets pain res'ed to 40-45%.Now the killer chases those guys in that gen and i go back to the first gen i started doing when i entered the game and oh its back to 0%.So lets understand together what just happened.I was doing the most boring thing in the game holding m1 on a gen for about 2+ minutes for legit 0 game progress and then i got chased for 1-2 minutes more resulting in 0 progress as well and we are still on 5 GENS REMAINING that i have to just hold m1 on them for another 8 minutes in total????And some people are gonna be like but now the perk is no longer active so you should be able to play but its soloque and thats not the case.4-5 or more chases already happened and many many recources(pallets and medkits) are no longer available so people go down even faster snowballing the game to defeat really really fast.So the game ends and im thinking about what i just played and realised that i just played a game holding m1 for 5-6 minutes beeing able to do 1 or 2 gens at most as a team at the end of the day and losing in less than 7-8 minutes.Dont even ask me what happens if the killer is a nurse of a blight on top of that....am i wrong on this ,is anybody else experiencing the same?is my only option to just find friends to play the game with?(my real life friends dont like the game and dont play it).Lastly the whole discuassion is not about win or lose its about having fun but in this thing mentioned above called a 'game' there is 0 fun on it....

well killer perks are broken af in general

so pain resonance made 0 difference in the games outcome.....the perk gives 100% regressions base(assuming killer hooks everybody once on a scourge) so its worth 1 gen + any other regression it might get if the person doesn't touch it again that's nothing too crazy. Killers often have to waste extra seconds to go for a scourge hook or even worse they can't even reach one.

First, cut some space between you sentences to make paragraph, make things easier to read

Second and most important thing, You're basically pointing one of the biggest flaw of this game that inevitably fock up any semblance of balance in this game :

People want to play this game without learning anything, meaning PLAYING ONLY AT THEIR SKILL LEVEL which is problem when their skill level can be deeper than a black hole

And since they are a good portion of survivors base, and idiots enough to pay money (sometimes buying whole set of cosmetics on a whim) for a game they don't really care that much or would play only 20 hours per month, devs and/or their superiors feel obligated to cater to those morons

And so, instead of making a better tutorial, making objectives easier to understand, or anything to more or less force some information/skill into their monkey brain, they just make the game easier for them

That's right, instead of making their player base more smart, they do hand-holding, making them even more dumber, incapable of adapting to a difficult situation since BHVR are always there to force the situation on the same level as those idiots skill

The anti-face-camp feature is probably one of the most obvious change for that, idiots would just rush for the unhook, either get only a exchange of hostage or get the whole team die for that
meanwhile a smarter team would realise the camper killer will never move until the hostage die or the team try to save him, and so the most efficient path is to rush the gens, either getting an easy 3 escape or mentally force the killer to actually play the game (only monkey brain killer would camp an hostage for 3 to 5 whole gens), leaving the hostage alone which mean being able to be saved without lose-lose situation

First of all , a perk adding a whole gen for playing normally is pretty insane but its not just 1 gen and ill explain why shortly.If i have a gen at 95% as soon as my teammate goes down ,my gen gets to 70% by pain res , i manage to get it back to 85% till the killer comes on me after the hook since he can hear what gen just got pain res'ed, he kicks it with pop goes the weasel or not as i said above and he starts a chase with me.Since my teammates are on different gen or doing something else on the other side of the map my gen ends up going back to 0% so only 1 stack of pain res just added more than 1 gen worth of progress in total.So a generator that was 95% and would have been done till the killer comes from the hooked person to me is now back at 0%.Now imagine that happening on all 4 stacks of it assuming its soloque and you cant say to your teammates to go back to your gen cause it is 80% or smthing while you are getting chased, that is a total of 4+ gens at most or about 2.5 generators on an average game.As about you doing the simple math 3 gens left in the end(as said above) -2.5 gens on average by pain res and still saying wouldnt change the outcome , do you think random soloque teammates seeing your team getting destroyed , killer having 5 hooks already while you are on 5 gens left , do you think they are gonna try to do gens anymore? no, they are gonna suicide on hooks , troll around waiting to get killed and stuff

If you meant "do you have to play with friends to have fun"?

Its a solution but not necessary, the best thing you could do is climbing up MMR, so you got paired with better players, sure better killers, but also 3 better survivors, and as i said, BHVR tend to buff survivors and their perks, so when reaching a certain MMR, playing survivors can sometimes feel like an auto-win

In your particular exemple, if i got chased for like 2 to 4 min straight or in total, and saw zero gen done nor progression, or see my team mates getting 6+ hook states with only 1 to 0 gen done

i would basically play ultra solo, farming bloodpoints and be the most sneaky ninja ever existed, let the idiots/noob die for their stupidity and manage to get the hatch

Another thing you could do is when getting another "lost already" team, get chased, A LOT, and get more experience from those chases, get better at it, it will always profit

you can't win all games, but you can get something from them, bloodpoints, self-experience, tome challenge being done etc

If you meant "pain resonance is an issue" then nope, it is not

Well hiding around is just really boring , +most of the times killer quit on chasing me after 15-20 seconds of chase since they have an easier time chasing my teammates


To be honest the most fun i have in this game is when all my teammates are dead , the killer is forced to chase me and those 3-5 minutes of chase is pure enojoyment


For me pain resonance is soloque is a huge issue but everyone has their own opinion on stuff

Its the combo you dont like not pain res by itself and both those perk by itself are kinda bad survivor will just complete the gen in your face if you have pop and the second your down is to far from a scourge hook you just lost pain res and the gen get complete that why those 2 are pair together.

No its not about the combo , my kicked gen will go back to 0% with or without pop if killer chases me , i dont care about pop , pop is my eyes is fair killer has to come to you and kick the gen to activate.


My problem is that a gen that would have been done in normal situations is now 0% and 2 minutes of my game is wasted for nothing.How can i explain it better? Doing a gen for 2 minutes and just running around the map checking how nice the game graphics are is the same at the end of the day just because of 1 perk.That is my problem i might as well just run around then

i remember a match in solo q yesterday
went with full genrush build
after all the pain res
my points in the objective were almost maxxed out when the gen was done
at this point my team wasnt doing too well
i healed up 2 and went to bait the killer so they can get a breath
nobody unhooked me
one guy died before i finished rotting on hook and he said why unhook you when youre useless
yeah... solo q

The game was already over you were never completing 5 gens with that group those perks only work when the survivors get hooked and if they get hooked in record time its just them being bad mostly. Pain res tends to be more valuable later in the game than early actually because chances are it prob hit generators at the edge of the map that the killer would rarely check anyway.
