Singularity and the time between slipstreams from the camera's pov
Whenever I watch guides on YouTube of singularity killers teleporting from the camera's pov, it always looks significantly faster than when I do it. It looks as though you don't have to wait the entire time for the inner reticle to fill up all the way, but rather press a button (not sure which) when the one before it fills up. Is there something I'm missing? I would really appreciate a guide on everything I'm seeing when I'm viewing from the camera's pov. If anyone knows any good videos, please direct me. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I really like this killer.

Idk about anyone else but whenever I watch content creators they always seem faster in everything than when I'm in game, mostly as killer. I dont think they're doing anything faster, it just seems that way.

On the topic of singularity though, it doesnt take that long to tp unless they're close to a hooked survivor in which case you're better off just walking over.

I looked at another video and it looks like if a survivor is already tagged then it's better to exit and follow through than continue scanning for the tp. If you start scanning a survivor without a bipod, I believe the camera has to recharge after it tags, before it can scan for the tp. Otherwise, the tp goes much faster if they are already tagged before starting the scan. Is that what I'm seeing?

I didn't know you were talking about scanning after tagging someone, usually its only good to commit through a cam if the survivor is healing (especially this cause it spreads to other ppl) or on a gen. Otherwise yeah its usually better to shoot them, it has a really far range anway

I believe that there's a recharge state that occurs with all the cameras once a survivor has been tagged by a camera (doesn't matter if you change cameras). If I caught someone on the camera who was healing, but wasn't tagged, I believe it would take at least 5 seconds before I could activate the tp. If they were already tagged then it would take 1 second, which is a huge difference. Is this correct or not? That's the question I'm asking. Thanks for responding by the way.

That’s a lot easier to work with.

The cooldown isn’t 5 seconds, maybe more around 3. It’s definitely more beneficial to tp if someone is already tagged but besides the iri addon there’s no other way to infect survivors. To answer your question there’s definitely a difference, but only by a couple seconds.

I’m by no means the best singularity however if you want builds, explanations etc. on singularity check out cocolatte. He’s a p100 singularity and he plays really well so he can probably explain everything better than I can lol.

Thanks for responding to my question. I also found another video on YouTube that confirmed my hypothesis to be true. The moment was shown between 4:15 and 4:35 of the video. I hope this helps anyone who was just as curious about the singularity's tp mechanic as I was. The video was by Scott Jund.
