That however, would come with some problems of it's own, but it would ensure that people can keep playing the game indefinitely.
Hate to lose the chance to play games just because they are "always online".
Yeah, I agree, I've been a part of so many communities in the past where the game was abandoned for whatever reason and the game disappeared into oblivion, it would be cool if DBD had a back up plan that would address this in the event if something like that ever happened to DBD game (I don't think so, but I didn't think it would happen to other games that I enjoyed playing in the past so, its just a fact of life).
I think it would be cool to keep the game alive if something like that did happen and it would probably depend on the community, I don't know if developers would or could help plan for something like this but it would required fundraising, community servers and using the same killers and survivors but that would be a challenge because all that stuff is licensed. It would probably require the game to change and adapt to other mods or other rules. It gets tricky and probably too much of a challenge to revive an abandoned game as big as DBD.
True, and I've put in a lot of money into DBD thus far for all chapters, but I've enjoyed my time and I've gotten my money's worth, I think in play hours and just playing but it will be a sad day if it all just disappears and I'm left with my screenshot for memories.
I dont think they plan on adding a Offline mode.
Custom servers already exist
RIP 😭
Yeah, I loved that game, Ghost in the Shell, sad day when they decided to sunset it...
I may be wrong but I believe that is the jist of it.
evolve 1.0 however did have p2p lobbies so you can still play it forever
to answer your question yes your literal thousands of money into dbd will eventually be gone forever
okay.
yup, good ol' terms and conditions...sigh
Yea, I've seen some older games being run on some servers, but in the end it's developer commitment in game support for sustainability, it seems to me that all video games need tweaking all the time or once in a while to keep them running, its a nature of the monster.
