What are yalls opinions on it based on just the trailer? I know people are still complaining about the state of dbd and obviously wanting those characters from the trailer to dbd already. Honestly I think itll be good for dbd to expand and seek a new game in a different genre (Asymm)

Supermassive's games have just gotten worse and worse since Until Dawn IMO. Dark Pictures started out strong and got worse with each entry, and The Quarry was just boring. I'm hoping they can redeem themselves but... I'm skeptical

I strongly agree. Until Dawn was so amazing, but I watched 30-45mins of quarry and it didnt bring me in like UD did. Hopefully with dbd's help the game will be equal with UD

Terrible choice. Would rather have an original character than that lame character with a weak background.

Would have loved a movie about the Huntress

As much crap as I give the game and the developers, I am genuinely happy that they seized the oppertunity to expand and explore the world and it's setting. For all the goofiness in the game, the always ever present Cosmic Horror, the somber and almost sorrowful dark setting is perfect for good stories.

I like to imagine Yui skin by Nakamura is listening to Cryoshells "Breakout" while trying to save her friends, so yeah, The Casting of Frank Stone looks to head straight into the mood and atmosphere I love.

Issue with the lore is that The Entity is a literal Cosmic Horror, similar to Nyarlathotep of Lovecraftian horror, you can't really win against something that is far beyond your reach and just looks at you with cruel amusement XD

I do think it's fitting and funny that they choose a song where the chorus goes "oh I love it and I hate it at the same time". A bit meta eh?
