Well, i will give you some : its an indoor map, with many junction, many obstacles, you have very rarely if ever any straight lines with a good length
Which means any killers with dashes as mobility? get stopped by many hitboxes, good luck
Hillbilly is hard to play there (melee chainsaw, forget mobility dash), wesker hate it (hard to take a bend with him, and you have to deal with 2-3 at once to keep up), blight need to use most of his dashes to get his targets (he only keep up with the map thanks to his 5 dash)
Any killers using projectiles based power? hard to aim anything, with many junction, you can get cover at the last second, huntress struggle (even more with how her hatcher spawn from her), obstacles around pallet too high for nemesis to exploit (no need to crouch to avoid), trickster can keep up because he can spam many knives while moving
And you also have some infamous loops that survivors can easily exploit to force killers waste much more time than 2-3 pallets, and those loops can't be destroyed, and can be easily repeatable
i think the reason it was less hated before, is that you didn't have much ranged/mobility killer, and generators was done slower than nowadays, so wasting time wasn't an big issue back then
PS : i also forgot pinhead/cenobite, again because of frequent junction and annoying obstacles/walls, chain hunt barely manage to touch survivors, if ever, could probably handicap immobile survivors repairing (though i suspect some gen spawn being "protected" against chain hunt), but it will rarely help in chases, possesed chains can often being completely useless
I want to add a few more killers to the list: Pig, trapper, hag. Too slow to do ♥♥♥♥ on this map.
Hawkins is a ♥♥♥♥ map. It's indoors so it's bad by default, but it's claustrophobic, nearly every pallet is either a god pallet or has another pallet less than 5 meters in view, upstairs has no hooks so if one doesn't spawn on the stairs you can just go ♥♥♥♥ yourself killer, it's easy to get lost despite the straightforward design because some walls may be open or closed at any given time, and there's too much invisible clutter.
Seriously, it should not be possible to collide with air when you zip down a straight hallway as Wesker.
It's great for stealth- and setup- (Trapper, Hag, Dream Pallet Freddy) killers (aka. the killers that are f**** if they end up on maps like Eyrie or Coldwind).
maps shouldn't be so binary : get hawkins? sucks to be wesker/huntress, ahppy trapper/hag
got eyrie? sucks to be trapper/had, but times for wesker/huntress
I would've delete all indoor maps tho
Also hawkins have tendency to have arbitrary open/closed doors placement troughout rooms
Meanwhile RPD don't have weirds pathing to each room, less labyrinth
They're both a different flavor of ♥♥♥♥.
One's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the other's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
The Gideon Meat Plant would like to have a word...I like Hawkins just remove most of the hallway ♥♥♥♥ and it would be cleaner and more enjoyable
