It's been a month or so now and I think the overall discussion has died down a bit but how is anyone ok with MFT getting nerfed as hard as it did? I'm not talking in terms of balance but in how it reminds me a lot of the OG Mettle of a Man. Where a lot of people probably bought the Singularity Chapter just to use MFT only for it to be made essentially worthless a couple months later. Forget balance, you should all be angry about this scummy business practice of making powerful perks in one Chapter to get you to buy it just for them to be nerfed to oblivion a little down the road. Ultimate Weapon is next on the chopping block for this nonsense.

MFT is basically useless now. Ultimate weapon is still stupid OP.

Well they nerfed so many perks killer and survivor sided that at this point I just play to get my mind off of things. I hate, looooathe that they nerfed Iron will and MFT.(these were the best ever). But, 30k people still play. I still play. what can I say, we are not that bright to continue still playing and just accepting the changes they implement on a whim. I had a 2 year pause period. I will soon have it again for sure at this rate.
They did a pretty good job so far.

As far as MFT goes, I think it was a justified nerf.

So far there seems to be a lot of point missing. I'm not saying whether or not the perk was justifiably nerfed. I'm criticizing the general practice of selling you something good just to take it away from you beyond your control. Everyone should be against that on principle.

MFT legitimately broke the game. It was far too much "hidden power" because you also had to guess who was running it as killer; you kind of get muscle memory for how far your lunge attack reaches and such and MFT made that distance a bit longer than most killers were used to.

Its synergy with other movement speed perks + perks that activate when injured was way too good as well.

Ultimate Weapon is broken in much the same ways. Paired with certain perks it offers way too much synergy and just does too much: gen control, survivor tracking, and a huge blind debuff with very little effort or counterplay available. (I hear killer mains keep going "CALM SPIRIT" but don't recall many survivors telling the killers complaining about MFT to just run a movement speed perk like Game Afoot themselves.)

Ultimate Weapon should not have a duration to it. It needs to proc *immediately* upon opening a locker and then go on cool down. Killers shouldn't be able to walk a small loop in the middle of the map and blind survivors / lock every gen.

Same here paid for nothing, all perks from this chapter is useless now, only Gabriel made some cash for them and now it's gone, no fun allowed as u can see, they are only favors killers lately, I bet killer winrates are now 80%, since i escape 15% as a solo

I saw some Reddit killer complaining about it last night cause supposedly you can still get use out of it if combined with Dead Hard. They called it "game breaking" 😂.

My god this killer mains are newer happy, pretty sure they wanna 4k every match constantly, killers winrate 90% right now I'm pretty sure, solos 5%
MFT was broken due to collision size, a survivor is smaller than a killer, means if you run around a rock, with MFT the the survivor could overtake a killer, which shouldnt be allowed by gamedesign. Especiall if the killer has 4.4m/s and the survivor has 4.12m/s

With these numbers and 20 metre distance, it would take 71 seconds to catch
Without MFT and 20 metre, it would be 50 seconds
With 4.6m/s and 20 metre, it would be 33 seconds

EVERY over powered mechanic in EVERY competitive game gets balanced.
If you've played more than 1 online game, this should be common knowledge.
Find the new meta, when statistics say that it's literally never used anymore, they'll give it another look. Either that or every other perk will get nerfed enough it becomes useful again.

Or just wait for the next chapter, save up your iridescent shards, buy the characters for free and exploit the perks until they get nerfed too.

Or go play rock paper scissors with your shadow.
