What's killer instinct?

Is it the aura of survivors that you see like when you hook someone with BBQ and Chili or is it that thing with a pulsating sound that legion hears often with his killer ability. Or is it the sound you get when a survivor near you run vaults a window or pallet?

Its the legion one. Other killers have it too, some add ons feature this aswell, dunno if any perk does this.

Its currently the weakest killer info mechanic in the game (imo)

I see. If it doesnt work with legion you can try ghostface if you just need to hit them x seconds after killer instinct procs. You'll get it done either way.

Killer Instinct is a red, flashing symbol that shows survivor location, AND the heartbeat sound that goes off when it triggers.
BBQ and Chili is aura-reading, which is when you actually see the red outline of a survivor/killer through objects.
The difference is that Killer Instinct has no counter, is less precise, and is part of the killer's base-kit; whereas aura-reading comes from perks and addons, but can be countered by survivor stuff.

Legion one, little spiderweb pizza thing about chest height where the survivors are is what you mean. Others can get it, you can do the achievment for getingt 50 of them in one match as Legion :>
