In a game state where peoples can do 5 gens below 1 min each, even 30sec of peace seems important
Its also an effective way to sabotage gen-rushing, and again, as its automatic, you don't need to do anything but play like usual, which mean finally you can focus on chasing a bit more
with deadlock one pops the other gets paused
during those 30 seconds you can finish your chase
and hook him on a scourge whats its name that regresses the gen with most progress,
the one that paused
now you can go over there and use pop goes the weasel
Of course, it's not a perfect perk. I don't use it, personally. If they do gens one at a time, you're kinda screwed, and multiple gens can still pop at the same time if they do it at the exact same time.
Nurse's Calling is another example of a perk that best suits the killer it came with but is still useful on them all. With her blinks and unpredictability the aura read for healing is much easier to take advantage off compared to a killer that has to walk to the survivor mid heal.
