I tried different stuff, different Nvidia drivers
Overclocked my CPU To 4,8Ghz, undervolted GPU & CPU
Default settings, HPET on, HPET off, DX12 DX11
Gsync vsync whatever the hell is possible yet this game is just on another world.
Do you play with -Dx12 ?
Unsure if It's a memory leak but the game is literally unplayable on some maps. On top of the DX11 lag at high FPS, DX12 "looks" smoother and it has higher FPS, but It just stutters a lot due to compilations (infinite compilation, i've tried using it for over a week going through all characters yet it still stuttered)
But speaking of myself at least, I'm not experienced enough to say It's a memory leak or such. DBD always been a sh*t game in terms of optimization, but not to this point lol.
Developers adding an FPS cap option of 120 implies that it should support it.
No, people have been playing the game for YEARS with 120+ fps, the only inconsistency that's been in the game is ~4 years ago they added some more flair to the inventory (Look at event items) and the smoke goes 2-3x speed, outside of that there's no issue in game,
they've just been lazy and took until like a month ago to add AA and FPS settings into the gui instead of having go edit the games ini
It's the same with many other games that lock to 60, there's an issue or 2, sometimes just graphical issues, but you can play with more than 60. Genshin as an example, sine launch in 1.0 the only issue I've noticed with unlocking the fps is in-game cutscenes the characters twitch back an fourth a tiny bit and that's it.
This has been my experience, - some stutters, but I think I'm due for a wipe and reinstall of all my stuff soon because I've been having a couple problems recently. or the games I've been playing recently have all been breaking something with updates.
I built my new pc 2 weeks ago and this is the only game that has stutters, every other game runs flawlessly. My specs are i5 13600k, rtx 4070, 32gb ram, so this has to be poor optimization issue on bhvrs end
I have a 4060 and I did my best to optimize stuttering, I can maybe help you if you want.
But performance seems odd for me at least.
