On the other hand it would let me run my guilty pleasure perks without sacrificing build efficacy.
Either make the 4th perk slot limited to own character perks or make it a 5th perk slot with same limitation
Own character perks : dwight would have leader or bond or prove thyself as 4th or 5th perk
meanwhile a trapper would have brutal strength or unnerving presence or agitation as 4th or 5th perk
It would surely make specific character more OP, but nurse? not great perks (one is already copied by her add-on), blight though have perks that would make him a bit more powerful, but not by much that he's already are (at least less than having a 5th slot occupied by a gen regression)
PS : hex : blood favor is also a perk whose effects are copied by one of his add-ons, though it does works differently (check summoning stone)
Sloppy butcher : inflict hemorrhage and mangled+ hemorrhage is more effective
Not every killers can inflict both status effects, plus even those who have such add-ons are generally very rare/purple add-ons which you can't spam infinitively except if you're like p30+ or something, AND it generally have more difficult requirement than "just base attack"
Meanwhile survivor got borrowed time (tunnel more difficult) and delivrance (anti face camp) as base kit FOR FREE, like not even trough add(ons or items, ITS BASEKIT
So please stop crying over killers for having "conditionnal and limited fifth perk"

I have nothing against borrowed time basekit IN ITSELF, it was necessary, but when you add this, plus the anti face camp feature, which was easily counter by just doing gens, so the hooked guy when being camped is still distracting the killer like if he was chased its just guaranteed 60 to 120 sec of having the killer not preassuring gens
Let's be real, face camping is a sign of hopelessness because its their last attempt to get at least a single kill since trying to preassuring gens ISN'T AN OPTION for them because of differents reasons (skill difference, meta perks, sweaty tactics/exploits etc)
Which then give the next problem : you're giving more free gifts to survivors or punishing killers (depend of point of view) you can't keep doing that without heavy repercussion to game balance, and making the game easier for survivors WILL NOT improve them
And if in the future, BHVR decide to nerf tunneling even more, what's left to killer to prevent survivors winning when THEY tunnel and/or camp gens or deny any down trough bodyblocking?
Being a SWF basically gives you free perks in of itself, which you normally have to take info perks to get. Implement that, tweak it to see if there's anything particularly OP about it, and see how it goes.
