It's hard enough to be a solo survivor, if it were worse, no one would queue solo anymore and you'd end up facing only the sweaty swf anyway.
So in the end its the other survivor that make the game impossible to win not the tunneling killer.
We have more information than ever, but Behavior is very poor when it comes to teaching new players how their game works. See the little gene icon next to the player's name? That means he's working on it. So go save the survivors on the hooks if you're not doing anything.
See those moving bones at the bottom of the survivor's name? That means he's being chased. Stop being scared and stay on your generator.
If there are three survivors left and no one is working on a generator. You're wasting precious time. You're losing the game. That's what it means. Time is precious in a match and if you want to win, you've got to get your ass on those generators.
Not good at Looping? Then equip yourself with a perk to repair faster or help your team, or a ninja perk to hide better. Perk like Deja vue/distortion and alert are really useful for beginner.
But as I said, behavior is terrible when it comes to teaching games to new players. In fact, we should be able to queue solo with a specific role and then team up with people who queue with other roles with specific perks.
But they don't need to make two queues - they can do the same as now, just use a Survivor's 'SWF' MMR instead of their solo MMR when they play in a group.
You are absolutely right that it is not that easy to do for the reasons you mentioned.
But, it could be a fair bit better, and can hardly be worse than now. (Tempting fate I know.)
BHVR answer : not lack of communication just selfish survivor
Buffing killer is the wrong way to try fix swf's since yeah, soloQ survivors have it hard enough as it is.
Fixing it the easy way would be to let people in a lobby see if people are in a swf group so solos and killers who don't want to deal with that can just leave and queue again.
A more mechanical way would be something like disabling a perk slot if for the people in a 3 or 4 man swf, while a solo player would keep all 4 perks, to counter balance how strong instant communication and information sharing is.
Swfs are the scourge of the game, you can't counter them at all when they know where you are at all times and all you do, its not fair at all for any killer at any level, even high level killers can't handle it and agreed it makes it totally unbalanced.
I think there should be an auto rank if you 4 or 3 man in and killers could have an option to take on this rank or not. Let the swfs have a long wait time like killers , anything tbh would be better.
one killer against 4 people on voice that tracks their every move, you are lucky to get anywhere.
Grab Nurse with Deadlock, Dead Man's Switch, Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance, and Call of Brine (or another equally annoying perk to contend with; Oppression, Hysteria, or Distressing are rather fun. Do not discount Distressing as useless, it makes them leave gens prematurely thinking you are closer than you are which almost always puts them in your line of sight).
Equip a plain flannel brown addon and the green addon that makes them scream when you blink past them. Good times.
