True.
Otherwise, the actual content of the games is w/e. The games have pretty bad writing, but DBD's lore also has some pretty bad writing, so it's not like that matters. A part of me almost wants it in the game, just so I can stop seeing people go "omg it's definitely springtrap this time guys, frfr" every few months.
Gameplay-wise, it would probably fit just fine. Probably some stealth/jumpscare mechanics. Maybe a camera system like singularity.
I've never played LoL in my life, let me just check what this character is about.
*types "League of Legends Fiddlesticks lore" into a search engine*
OK, so this is some kind of automaton-looking thing, with a scarecrow aesthetic, carrying a scythe on its left, whilst the right one is some massive claw thing. That's a pretty neat design.
And from what I can gather from the lore, it's some kind of unknowable entity, nobody is certain what is real about it and what are just stories. It seems to kill from the shadows, picking off victims which are isolated, and sowing fear in its prey with "wailing of crows that aren’t crows, sounds that aren’t sounds".
That's horror. The fear of the unknown and the uncertain, with that feel of "don't leave the safety of the campfire, there are dangerous things out there" which has been at the core of horror stories since Humanity was still living in caves, and stories like this were told around the fire.
So yeah, I've never heard of Fiddlesticks until literally just a few minutes ago, but I would absolutely take him as DBD Killer over a freaking FNAF character any day of the week.
And honestly old horror movies doesnt necessarily build that up either. Scream was constantly getting hit and missing his attacks making him look like a total idiot, Ash vs evil dead isnt scary at all, nor is Chucky, especially with all the cursing.
