How do you think Springtrap is genuinely more iconic than CHUCKY??

Like honestly when it comes to the whole "bring springtrap to DBD" train I honestly never cared since many people want their horror favs in this game but come on now FNAF fans you're starting to get annoying because it's way WAY more understandable that Chucky takes a spot before Springtrap.

Well for one big reason I don't want anything like Springtrap in DBD... That is a kids' game for the most part. DBD is NOT for kids even if there are stupid parents that just let their kids do whatever. That one isn't going to bring older folks with more money in their wallets to drop on anything they'd like. .. kids have to still ask their parents to get them things.

Springtrap would have never stood a chance for 2 reasons

1. Scott is already working on the next 3 fnaf movies
2. Springtrap is not scary. A big ass 7 foot bunny is nothing compared to a 3 foot doll chasing you

I don't like to be one of those people. Bit I agree with you. I just don't see the horror aspect unless you're a child. And even then, I only ever thought they were creepy.

* Firstly... DBD is not for a younger audience
* Secondly, those are skins, and in the case of the Legion skin that bunny is a Silent Hill reference which is another old iconic horror franchise.
* Thirdly, there are dozens of horror icons especially in video games that deserve a spot even before Springtrap can be considered as an addition tbh like BHVR JUST added the Xenomorph, another horror classic. If people wanted Springtrap now now he'd most likely come as a skin. Stranger Things gets a pass imo because season 1 was phenomenal at the time and Demogorgon does more than just jumpscare people and the writing for the show is GOOD *cough cough*

* Finally, people actually have been asking for Chucky way before springtrap requests flooded in. So yeah Chucky is more iconic, and if you want to compare his impact to SPRINGTRAP?? then idk

I think Springtrap might be interesting to see but It's not my first choice. I definitely prefer Chucky over FNAF, mainly because Chucky was one of my first slasher films as a kid. I was like 13 when FNAF came out and even then, I thought it was cringe. There are a bunch of licenses I'd like to see a lot more. (Dead Space when????)

Dead Space doesn't really have any central villain or unique human-sized monster, necromorphs are scary and all but they are still just the equivalent of infected in L4D or non-unique BOWs in RE.

Those are also skins for the killer and not the killer itself.

Doesn't matter. Also Naughty Bear is about as cartoony as it gets.
Springtrap isn't even cartoony.

7 foot decaying and rusted metal frame with a humans visible corpse inside, but sure, it does have a bunny like frame. Also scott more or less retired from his postiion, so it's on other folks now for a lot of licensing stuff.

Honestly the biggest thing stopping FNAF is probably the controversy around Scott initially.

No one ever said it was but that is irrelevant. FNAF wasn't originally either, you're confusing streamer generated audience with intended game audience.

Them being skins is entirely irrelevant. They were more of a side note than a main point anyways. If you insisted on that logic though, then one could say Springtrap would make a fantastic skin for Singularity; so....

"Thirdly" tes, I agree there are a few things I would prefer over Springtrap also. Just because I think they would be fine in the game doesn't mean I don't like what we have and will probably get in the future either. I was never a huge FNAF fan, though I found springtrap particularly interesting as a character given their (game) backstory and more.

Lsatly, I dunno where you get this Chucky and Springtrap comparison from, at least in response to me. So not touching that.

I am not going to respond beyond that, I feel tha about covers my point you can think what you will but that is my stance. I don't care enough to debate it all day.

In the end, I think a FNAF skin or chapter is possible, but very unlikely due to the Scott controversy and BHVR not wanting to endorse something less progressive or risk being affiliated as such. So you don't have to get worked up, I don't see it coming, just not for the same reasons.

meh even watching some of the older films while most of the horror/scary movies the people seemed dumb in Child's play they took it to another level when people let a tiny doll murder them. If you watched it today you would of thought it was a comedy.

did you forget that Chucky normally ambushes his victims so they DON'T have a chance to react? hell, he's even known for setting up traps to ♥♥♥♥ up his victim beforehand so he can kill them more easily.

They were very hopeful this would be the collab to take place simply because the FNAF movie has been released and figured that if a movie were to be released with a collab so close, surely it would've been Springtrap. That would be a mindset for me if it was like a Predator movie coming out and at the same time, DBD has a new killer being teased but kept secret. especially since Grid from AVP, a separate licence, was in the game

Child's Play 1 came out in 1988. The Chucky TV show isn't watched by many kids that play this game. But, don't get it wrong - Chucky was 100% the right choice. He's fun af to play against/as.

No but like the comments for springtrap being in DBD across so many platforms are so disrespectful to trying to dog on Chucky as if he's unkown or had no impact idk why it pissed me off so much and I'm not even a hardcore fan of Child's Play.

It's understandable, Chucky is iconic and people dog on him because FNAF movie (again, is it just me still unable to process how we ended up in a timeline where a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ meme became reality?) is the big new thing and devs should obviously (not) take something from it.
