Stranger Things perk situation

It seems very cheap to take away perks that were available to everyone and make them DLC exclusive again. I get that you keep them on characters who already have those perks, but still. I guess it's too much effort to make new perks even for such a big and long-awaited Stranger Things return. Honestly, quite disappointing.

They are not being taken away from anyone who unlocked them as Generic perks. You just won't be able to unlock them on new characters once the future patch that re-attaches them to the Stranger Things chapter happens.

On the flip side it's unfair to the people who bought the DLC for the perks. Because everyone else got them for free while they had to pay for it that's not fair is it or is it only unfair that the people who got it for free still have it but that other people have to pay for it now which is bringing it back to the original thing plus more because you guys already got it for free.

As someone who bought the dlc for the perks and the killer: I was pissed when the perks were made available for everyone for free because I payed for them. Honestly? I feel its just right that the perks get locked again and its MORE than fair that survivors who have the perks get to keep them. Be happy that the perks won't get locked behind the dlc again completely. Although I certainly wouldn't say no to new survivor exclusive perks, thats just not the way this game works. you want a perk? you pay for it. It was this business model from the start, you knew what you'd get when you joined.

Well... it's not cheap if it's a DLC.... which means you pay money for it... that's what you get when you play live service games, their content, their rules. They have to make money somehow. Can't make money when everything's free now can you?

They could make DLC fresh for both old and new customers. They simply didn't. For what perks people pay now? Most of players already have those perks on everyone for years. They just know that people will pay for Stranger Things regardless, so why bother.

There's nothing fair about people paying for content that becomes free for several years, just as there's nothing fair about people paying for content that has been free for several years. At least in my opinion. They could make DLC fresh for both old and new customers with new perks. They simply didn't.

Why should they have to? They state over and over again that licensed content is subject to change as licensing contracts change. You can't bring back a full DLC and not expect to make no money off of it. You really expect them to take that into consideration? This is a live service game, they have to make money. You got a good sized free trial in, now if you wanna keep playing with them, you have to pay for them, just like the rest of the DLCs, that's how it works.

I dont think I bought the full st pack since I only play killer but last week I played survivor for the first time for the knight head event and saw I had them. I leveled up Tapp to 15 and whaddya know I have their perks. If I played 3 weeks from now when removed I never would have known about it being free and it would not affect me. If people currently have an issue with it then stop crying and pump 1 character to get the damn perk for free 99 because youd only feel slighted if you ignore that it became free in the first place and you've had all the time in the world to have attained them on your fav survivor. What SHOULDA happened is the perk gets nixed like Demo and only people who had them had them then nobody would be complaning. But they were kind enough to make it free since though they werent getting paid for it.

Quite funny how they are selling something completely outdated as if it was developed now, no discounts no nothings. I got it way before so I don't have that problem but i'd be pissed to be buying old shoes for full price
