Casual gamers and new players won't stick around to entertain you if you treat them like garbage. Tunneling someone first gen, camping, slugging the third survivor for 4 minutes to deny hatch, the bm.. those things piled up to the point it's just not fun anymore.
I stopped playing around the summer, it was just getting more and more atrocious.
I could play more killers but it just get boring playing only one role. I wanna play both roles but I just can't. I'm tired of being some punching bag for a few killers with anger issues and god complex. So I imagine many players feels the same as me.
last killers buff.
1) Killers are really toxic in the game or in chat after. ("Hey I killer You noobs.")
2) Usually just camping survivors on hook.
3) And playing with ultra-rare gear in bronze IV.
Go and play games like this...
most players weaponize terms "casual" and "fun" when they reach the point where game doesn't become easy anymore and it actually requires some macro knowledge to pull to win, so both terms are quite often used as an excuse for losing matches.
That's why most "casual" players who play "only for fun"stick to meta perks and builds and have serotonine rush when they win, but the game suddenly becomes unbalanced when they lose.
my dear brother in Christ, you are suffering from a well known gaming thing, burnout.
Whether you are playing Minecraft, League of Legends, Counter Strike or any other game, you will reach specific point when you will feel a huge neccessity for taking a break (usually happening in games with competitive aspect)
I feel the same except it's about survivors.
I play both roles equally but toxic killers don't discourage me from going into queue, toxic survivors however have me actually AFRAID to queue into a game as killer some days.
I am like "IS this the one I get bullied, insulted, have my blood pressure spiked, and then some guy stalks me on steam leaving hate comments on posted images and other nonsense?" and I end up just going into survivor queue instead.
Thing is I think people are bored of the same old gameplay loop. Behaviour says they are finally considering expanding that to a new mode or something similar, odds are that will see the biggest player spike in some time whenever it happens.
We will see though.
... but bad behaviour from killers?
This will ruin Your game forever,... because it's like in real life... if partner just makes You feel bad... it's ok for once... but it's like cup filling with water... one day...
New stuff "everyone" want try, when it gets old "everyone" leaves.
It´s just like that in every game with repetitive gameplay.
And its also true that Steam players are dropping a lot while crossplay players are increasing. I don´t know why, I wont say the previous statements about this are true or false because I don´t know. If I turn Crossplay off it takes ages to find and fill a lobby and go to a trial, and I am not making this up, commenting based on facts from my own observation.
