reshades fine.
Thats why players use reshade or nvidia filters
It's unplayable at some map without brightness adjusts
People in Hunt Showdown were annoyed by it and complained, so Hunt had EAC blacklist all reshade versions from the game entirely, not just the addon version.
So if you made big enough stink, they could do it here. Thing is, it's not really a big enough problem here to warrant it like it was with Hunt.
They won't ban people for using something that is not yet blacklisted however, that would be dumb. That is never happening.
SURVIVOR MAINS RISE UP AND DO WHAT YOU DO BEST...♥♥♥♥♥.
Well tbh though reshade would help killer more than it would any survivor.
There is a reshade addon that removes all rendering from games down to only the most primitive assets. 2:40 timestamp:

IT would remove stealth almost entirely, except for the fact that DBD has a ton of information perks and that is mostly what people use anyways, that and walls- and reshade doesn't give you wallhacks or anything.
So the advantage in practice in DBD is minimal compared to other games. So I don't see it causing enough uproar to ever get banned.
They hide all the time in higher MMR because it works quite well. Thing is perks are usually taken to locate survivors but hiding does by time.
Most hiding though is rarely in a bush or something that reshade would let them cheat with, it's usually being objects and staying moving and would work anyways.
It absolutely would give you an advantage, it's still cheating, but the impact is minimal enough it's not worth getting upset over or worrying about.
Not many people would even bother doing all this for DBD like they did for Hunt. (In hunt it was a problem, too many people used it and the advantage was much greater for doing so).
Still all it took to trigger the wave of complaints was ONE video showcasing the problem, that video above spawned hundreds of threads from upset users which resulted in the reshade ban.
If someday that wave of noise happens in DBD they would probably cave and ban it here also, but for now, I imagine it's fine for the forseeable future.
Yeah, I was bummed when it was removed from hunt because I used to use it to fix the games terrible TERRIBLE anti aliasing and nothing else. So now I can't do that.
